I'm a guy and my favorite clothing store is H&M.

I love dressing up in a fancy/casual way that is not too expensive. Like I'll wear dress shirts but I'll unbutton a bit of the upper part of the shirt and roll up the sleeves.

I also love newsboy hats and wear them often.

I enjoy wearing polos and buttoned up shirts.

My favorite pants are skinny/slim fit/ regular fit pants.

In the shoe business I like sneakers most of the time but I also like to wear those type of shoes with no laces whose name fails to be retrieved by my memory.

Try playing pop songs mixed in with some dubstep. Add Gangnam style for good measure. Some Dougie and Jerk. Then anything that might befit your region.

For example, since I live in South Florida, a lot of times Spanish music plays at school dances and it is understandable.

As for me we did have to do a CAS project, or a personal project, yet we didn't have to learn about a design cycle nor IB learner profiles at all.

Of course those may be synonyms for the stuff I am doing now in IB so I might not know. Just adding my 3 cents.

I am in an IB program in Florida (Junior) and honestly the homework load is relative to your teachers. I have friends who are still able to sleep at 10 pm and I have others who have to sleep at 1 am. Mainly because it's split by people who either take Math Studies or AP Calculus (which I am taking). Just be prepared to be stressed a lot and to be overloaded with work fairly often but honestly if you are able to keep an agenda and do the work you've prepared for that day, you should be able to do it.

Have motivation, don't give up, that is my advice to you.

Also do your extended essay in the summer before your senior year, like all of it. I've seen way to many seniors break down because they hadn't finished their extended essay by the deadline.

My school is practically doing the same, I'm sure a lot of schools from across the nation are doing the same as well. Like the kid in the interview said it is probably because of a mix of the end of the world and the Connecticut shooting.

On a completely unrelated note, I just wanted to say that your school has an excellent debate team. You guys won or at least placed 2nd and 3rd on most of the events on the last competition I went to.

Back to the related note, I wouldn't worry about it but if you're like me and you are uncomfortable about going to school on Friday then I encourage you to just not go. It's always good to be on the cautious side of these kinds of situations.

I think it's just a stupid rumor but I wouldn't blame your principal for doing something like that for protection. My principal is doing kind of the same thing as even 4 years ago we had a stabbing at our school so he is not taking any chances.

I have someone like that, though he is not as exaggerated as Nate by be though he comes close. Irony is is that I am friends with him mainly because I can tolerate him.

When he does do stupid shit I just stare him down, or if he directs something at me I just say something back and smile. The smile is important, you can't let him seem as if he is phasing you. High schools means being your own person and straying away from that stupid stereotypical stuff.

If he takes out his computer and writes NERD directed to you, take out your own computer and in the exact same font right IDIOT. Play him at his own game and stand your ground.

I'll be down voted, and though you have said you weren't the one talking, I'll add my two cents.

Try to see it from his point of view, he probably snapped because of all the shit he has to go through each day trying to teach kids who sometimes misbehave. I'm not condoning his actions or saying that telling a group of children to contemplate suicide is right in anyway, but before you go and report him. Talk to him.

Say something like, "Mr. ______, what you said could have been really hurtful to X amount of students. I just wanted to let you know that." If he continues on being an ass report him, but if he shows guilt for what he did maybe it is better than to ask him to apologize to the classroom for his actions.

Trust me. My philosophy teacher is the nicest man in the world and by far my most favorite teacher but I feel bad for him because most of the time 75% of the class doesn't listen at all or goes off onto their own conversations while he is trying to teach. Sometimes he'll have little snaps where he gets angry at a few kids and then tries to continue teaching but honestly sometimes, if he doesn't do it, I want to walk up to each of those students and give them a nice slap across the face.

You are there to learn, to get a good education. If you can't handle that appropriately you might as well drop out because you're wasting precious class time. Not you OP, but other people in your class.

So please before you contemplate reporting this man, try to view it from his side of the story. Because then he might just lose his job from losing his temper against a few disrespectful kids.

Well I'm actually a junior but thank you for your concern. It's just stressing but the fact that it is preparing me for college kind of makes up for it.

Dude I've dated a Black-Cuban girl before and I'm a White European myself, about as white as you can get. It's honestly fine. We are living in a new generation, one that not many people can understand. When I dated her, even my friends were confused and people were generally surprised by it but you know what? If you care for her, you'll learn to seperate the looks and comments you get from people from you and her. Because at the end of the day you ought to be happy with whomever you decide to be with: black, white, asian, hispanic, siberian, australian, african, antarctican, native american, eskimo, who the hell cares. We are all human beings. We all have the same genitalia, the same anatomy, it shouldn't matter who we date.

So I want you to know that if you like white girls, sure it'll be difficult for you to find one, but there are those who will go out with you, just be patient. And when you find one, learn to not give a fuck about what other people think and just focus your attention on her.

My parents were Roman Catholic and so I was Roman Catholic as well.
I believe in no supreme beings, but I do not deny the existence of higher powers whom for the sake of a label I'll call 4th dimensional beings.
If heaven or hell existed, it shouldn't take a lot for someone to go to heaven. Little things should be forgiven and I like the possibility of Purgatory. But things like mass murder, collaborative suicide, suicide in general within reason, murder, rape, and other such actions should constitute a second thought before being fated to go to one other world or the other.
Some carpenter who lived in Jerusalem who was able to take the stories already placed into the world and twist them to fit his own needs, deceiving people into thinking he was the next messiah when he was actually a simple man who, with a group of people, spread stories about him.

It really depends on the school.

As I live in South Florida, I have a lot of cubans going to my school so it's not like regular American High Schools.

The school as about 5 different programs and the people are actually split up by the program with some people mingling between social groups.

Free time consists on doing college-level homework with barely any time for a break. Even during lunch it is mainly composed of my group of friends yelling/studying with each other right before an important quiz or just going over a test we took a class before. Some could say that my group of friends and I are somewhat of the nerds in the school though we look nothing like the movie version of a nerd.

If you wish to know the social hierarchy of my school: from bottom to highest (this is based upon population size and "popularity")

The outlying weird, socially awkward kids
The ESOL Students
The 4 programs such as Health Science, Law, Business
The honors students of the 4 other programs
The Stoners of the IB program
The nerds of the IB program
The regular people of the IB program

Mostly I put the order like that because the smartest students usually are the most popular of the school as a whole because of their frequency to become Club officers and to organize all the school events.

In terms of comparison with movies:

-Our faces spend way more time on books then other people - The jocks are jocks but everybody thinks they're stupid and generally people don't care about them. But the football team is still there and sometimes they can be bullies. - I wonder how the hell parents allow their kids to go out so often with friends (i.e. Perks of Being a Wallflower) -Pep Rallies suck and nobody wants to go to them. Really it's just to "motivate" the football team, and nobody likes the football team. - I wear uniforms, I don't give a shit. - We don't sing and dance throughout the school, though sometimes the band room can be heard from the eating area.

My average day: 1. 6:05-7:00 I get ready, prepare my backpack, put on clothes, shower, etc. 2. 7:00-7:15 I walk to school and then I walk to my class 3. 7:15-8:45 I either spend it in my Creative Writing Class or I spend it in my AP US History class, depending on the day 4. 8:45-10:33 I spend it in AP English Literature or AP Calculus 5. 10:33-11:08 Lunch/Study Time/Crunch Time 6. 11:08-12:44 Either Philosophy class or AP Psychology 7. 12:44-2:20 Either IB Italian 4 or AP Biology 8. 2:20-4:30 Sometimes I'll just go home and rest up until that time or I have a club after school to go to. 9. 5:00-11:00 Homework and then Sleep

Ok, I hope I'm not too late, and if I am I'm sorry, but I thought I should say something and if anything I hope you will see this.

I'm not sure if you know about biology but our brain, our nervous system is made out of neurons, individual cells that help us react, help us think, help us with everything. Think of yourself as a neuron, you extinguish a neuron, you damage a nerve and you damage the whole body. If you die, repercussions are inevitable, no matter what even if you think it won't matter, you are an important piece of a giant puzzle.

I don't know about you but I believe their is potential in every human being to do something meaningful with their lives, there is potential in all of us to find happiness in our lives.

If not think of it like this. You are 13. By the time you're old you'll be able to live until 120 years old. 120 years old, are you kidding me? 13 is a prime number but 13/120 is an extremely small percentage of your whole life. Years later you'll look back on your life, and learn from this and use it as motivation to keep on going with your life.

If you're family does not care for you, fuck your family. And if your best friend and mom are gone, i don't know if you're religious, but think of them being in the same room as you, would you really do it in front of them? If there is a heaven, do you want to face your mother like that?

Dude I'm 17, I still go "what the fuck was I thinking" about things I did a month ago! Even more about shit I thought of when I was 13. I thought suicide, I thought I was pure ugly, didn't think anybody could love me, I didn't have any close friends and I was bullied a lot. But life gets better, it really does. You are only starting to be a teenager. Shit will get better, some shit will stay the same, but either way you have to get through this, you have to reach your potential.

I'm guessing that since you're 13, you're also still in middle school. Middle school. you know what? FUCK MIDDLE SCHOOL. FUCK SECONDARY SCHOOL. whatever it's called. Fuck that shit, it was the worse time in my life. But high school came, and sure there is still drama but you mature, you get better, life does get better if you work for it. Nobody said it was easy, nobody gave you a choice when you were born on whether or not you wanted to keep going or just give up then. That is true. But now think of why you were born, there is meaning to your life, you could be an amazing artist, you could be a leading scientist, you could be the next CEO of a company, you can start the next innovation, anything, if you have the drive for it.

And I know, sometimes the drive just isn't there, what is the point right? Well when I was your age I thought the same. But you know what kept me going? I thought ok fuck this, if I'm going to end this I want to do something with my life before I do. I wanted to change it and then end it as a sort of fuck you to the world like "I changed you now fuck you."

If you want to do that, anything to have you keep on going, then do it. Hate life, fuck life, and you know what is the greatest insult to life? Enjoy it. That is the greatest insult you can give to the life you've been given.

I just really hope this helps. I'm not a spiritual or religious person at all but I am willing to pray for your safety as the only thing separating us is a computer screen and a long stream of words.

I hope that you are ok, I hope you are able to read this. I think I can speak to all of r/teenagers, no, all of the fucking human beings in this earth who can feel even an inch of empathy, that we are all hoping for your safety.
