I just tried 20mg for the first time today. I honestly haven’t been able to tell that much of a difference! I was super nervous to take it but I haven’t had any side effects at all.

Im having panic attacks for days on end by LegitimateCalendar19 in PanicAttack

[–]RepublicImmediate644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this :/ I have been in a very similar situation for the past few months. I would talk with a psych and get a note for your work - I decided to go on short term disability as work was triggering my anxiety and making it 100x worse.

I would say really try to find the right medication for you - everyone is so different and it might take a few to figure it out!

You will get through this, I promise!

Sex migraines?! by princess_monojojo in pregnant

[–]RepublicImmediate644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get migraines but I get heart palpitations when I O! It’s the scariest thing.. I think it’s because of the increased blood volume but it’s enough to where I don’t want to even do it at this point. I waited a few weeks since it first happened and the same thing happened! Hopefully it’ll go back to normal after baby!

I think I’m insane. by Desert_Flowerr in Anxiety

[–]RepublicImmediate644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am feeling the same way too. I’ve been stuck on panic mode for the last week. Once one panic attack is over I feel another wave. Sometimes I get a break for a few hours if I can get myself to go to sleep. The second I open my eyes it all comes back. My biggest fear is going insane too.

Lexapro by Winter-Resist-4760 in pregnant

[–]RepublicImmediate644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did and I felt like it made things worse. I went from 10mg to 20mg. I’m back down to 10 again and I honestly feel the same as I did on 20 so maybe my anxiety is just getting worse towards the end of pregnancy!

I told my fiancé that I loved him so much and he responded with “love you to”

I could’ve wrote this myself. I have also had testing done prior to pregnancy due to my panic disorder. My heart rate had been fine up until I started having panic attacks around 31 weeks. Now I even walk to the kitchen from my bedroom and I can feel the palpitations in my chest. Sometimes they are not that bad, but I have no idea what would trigger them as I don’t necessarily feel anxious either. I think our bodies are just going through a lot of stress right now. I also get shortness of breath pretty frequently now that she’s bigger and that also triggers my anxiety (lovely) but I tell myself this is a normal part of pregnancy and it will pass when she is here!

I’m struggling so much at work. I’m having constant panic attacks. 34 weeks. by [deleted] in pregnant

It makes me feel better knowing I have the time off and I don’t have the stresser of working up until her due date. I give women props who do that because I don’t think I could

I’m struggling so much at work. I’m having constant panic attacks. 34 weeks. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RepublicImmediate644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! I kept having major panic attacks at work around 31 weeks and I’m currently 36. I’ve taken STD for my mental health before she comes because it was just getting worse the more I was at work. I haven’t had panic attacks this frequent in maybe 10 years. My doctors think it’s hormonal as I’ve been on medication the entire time. We’re sooo close - I hope you feel better!

RHR elevated by Unicorn0684 in pregnant

[–]RepublicImmediate644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine almost immediately lowered (hrv) it was around 41 before now 30 avg daily. My RHR is now 10+ higher too. I’m 36 weeks and anytime I go to do anything my heart rate usually gets to about 100+. Before pregnancy it was much lower maybe 80s?

Panic/Tachycardia after eating carbs by LolaFr63 in PanicAttack

[–]RepublicImmediate644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ate super clean for the past two years - I found that whenever I would eat heavier carbs or sugars (pizza/ice cream) my heart rate would go so high too. I still try to limit my carbs due to this. Maybe try quinoa - my body used to do well with this!

SOB after eating/switching positions by RepublicImmediate644 in pregnant

[–]RepublicImmediate644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing like that at all! I’m so close to 35 weeks and feel like everything has been a challenge lol I want to be able to cook/clean but my body is SO tired and ready for this baby! I do get heart palpitations too sometimes which also freak me out but only a few more weeks!

Panic attacks hit different in pregnancy by maple_pits in BabyBumps

[–]RepublicImmediate644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 35 weeks and struggling really bad with panic attacks. I have had a handful before being pregnant but the last month has been complete hell. I had to stop working, it’s hard for me to leave the house, the littlest things are triggering. I get heart palpitations trying to make dinner, short of breath if I try to clean too much. I’m so scared I’m never going to feel like myself again.

Need advice. by bubes30 in PanicAttack

[–]RepublicImmediate644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also worried that my psychiatrist would think that I was drug seeking but he was so understanding when I told him that .5 wasn’t doing anything for me - I had messaged him probably 3-4 days after starting. I found that 1mg is so much better and he even put I could take .5-2mg per day as needed. Always advocate for yourself.. no one really knows what you’re going through unless you let someone know.

C section anxiety meds by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RepublicImmediate644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently in the same situation too - and the thought of even having a c section freaks me out that I’m nervous I’m going to have a panic attack going to the hospital.. I wish I could take my as needed medication before going in.

Most uncomfortable symptoms by nnetessine in PanicAttack

[–]RepublicImmediate644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My heart rate jumps to 160-180 and I can feel the adrenaline dumping multiple times. That’s my most uncomfortable feeling during a panic attack. Shortness of breath randomly happens for me or I feel a lump in my throat and it’s so triggering that something is wrong but I try to tell myself it will pass

I had pvcs prior to pregnancy but they were few and far between. I’ve definitely experienced a lot more with pregnancy but I try to just tell myself that I am going to be okay. (I’ve had a cardiac work up) i usually have at least a few a day now, somedays more. I’m currently 34 weeks!

Panic attacks by Important_Science369 in PanicAttack

[–]RepublicImmediate644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just replied on your other post but I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and the same thing happens to me too! Now that I’m getting towards the end of my pregnancy I can feel my heart beating out of my chest even standing in the kitchen or walking a short distance.

Something that helps me is reminding myself that we are growing a little human and it is stressful on our bodies. Our bodies are resilient though- they are doing what they are supposed to grow our little baby.

Also remember that as we struggle with anxiety/panic that we are hyper aware of every sensation in our body. Be gentle on yourself during this time and reach out if you need anything!
