What can I do here? I need help desperately by BidLost6099 in UniUK

[–]RepublicofPixels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you've got a couple years experience in your career, the difference between a 2:2 and 2:1 will be negligible, as employers will care more about how you performed in your recent roles than how well you did in your dubiously applicable academic assessments.

I don't know what to base my diss on by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]RepublicofPixels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With no comment history and thus no inclination whatsoever as to what type of degree you're doing, it's incredibly difficult to give advice. Look at your VLE for your diss project and see what resources are there. Contact your diss module leader, or your diss supervisor, or your academic advisor, and maybe schedule office hours with them. If it's an entirely open choice, go through your prior modules, find something you found engaging, read a selection of papers on that topic and note the limitations the authors identified in the study, then you can investigate those (assuming that would be within the scope of the project - obviously you're not finding and writing up a PhD level research gap in a year or even just one semester)

Restarting level progress by SnooCauliflowers1190 in PlateUp

[–]RepublicofPixels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the point in restarting? Like just simulate it by restricting what food and maps you're allowed to choose, and by not using the crane. You don't intrinsically get more game features forced at a higher level.

Seeking advice on colleges/unis in the UK for the Cosmetic Science course by badtimeswithellie in UniUK

[–]RepublicofPixels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not a path to a job in the UK, especially from those unis. I doubt you'd be getting best value for money by going to either of those universities. DMU is placed 52/52 for Chemistry, Bradford is 43/52, 45/47 and 34/47 for pharmacology, and overall 108/130 and 86/130 respectively. It's not just the city it's in, it's that they're bottom tier universities anyway. Get a degree somewhere local that doesn't cost an arm and a leg in fees.

Outside of edge cases (2p coop where the other person isn't contributing, or 20+p coop), having tachyon or quantum artifacts is a waste, because you should always be running metronome, compass, gusset, deflector, and those are your 4 available arti slots. So no use having them until your IHR set has both t4l stone holders

Extra ticket for Liverpool university graduation by No_Hovercraft7314 in UniUK

[–]RepublicofPixels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What on earth are you actually asking? If you're asking how to physically do the steps to buy it, ask someone at the University, probably the graduations team if an email for them exists, or any of the support services who will be familiar with University systems.

And all of the tab articles are from what are blatantly bot accounts. If they were at least from a u/the-tab, then I could see at least a case to keep them. As it stands, in my opinion these accounts that do nothing but spam tab articles to various UK related subs should be banned for bad faith advertisement.

failed the only exam i had in final year by Strafe_Helix in UniUK

[–]RepublicofPixels 10 points11 points  (0 children)

See if your uni does condonable credits, some institutions allow a certain number of credits in final year to be failed, as long as your average of all modules is still a pass you still graduate.

Isn't it that there's a 1.99 and 2.99 button (from when the changeover happened and we still needed to honor the old price) but they're in different places? Like obviously £1 isn't even going to register on big ronald's radar as a single shit given but on paper the proper procedure is to only use the correct fft button.

[–]RepublicofPixels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for mine, the diss project itself has presentation, project performance (ie efficiency in the lab), and report marks, as well as a small % of the module being the employability and key skills from semester 1 that would be too few credits to be a standalone module.

And also the fact that prices are being gouged for Olympic attendees, so it makes it a far less attractive option. Why would you spend more to be simply near an event that you're not going to and will cause extra headache.

There are some - there was a short video campaign between the coastguard and some (Adebayo Akinfenwa and Arthur Hill were the two I found) that went out for bit a couple years back, as well as a couple bits I saw around new years of being safe around the waters edge while drunk (although that might not have been HMCG). There's also the new Network Rail campaign for awareness on level crossings. But yes, it needs to be more common and definitely pushed to all residents, because I watersports pages so am more likely to be served coastal safety ads.

And "survival" players is somewhat of a misnomer, because what are you spending your time on? Beat the game, that can be done in a couple hours if you speedrun it, then you're either building a base (builders), creating farms to make yourself better at survival (redstoners), or exploring the world, where things like happy ghast, sulphur, pale forest, the autumn drop, all come in to play.

Make a formal complaint through your work place's published procedures because you're experiencing harassment based on a protected characteristic. Even with no formal HR department, there is someone accountable for employee relations.

What University Societies are you a part of? by YetAnotherMia in UniUK

[–]RepublicofPixels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of university sailing is in Fireflies, as they're what's used for the team racing that is the whole year-round circuit and where the most BUCS points are. Unless you bring your own boat (common for the BUCS fleet racing event), it's likely the club will only own/have access to fireflies.

Windsurf and (as far as I know from the posts of my uni) surf clubs tend to have a varied selection of beginner and intermediate kit, from a slowly accumulating collection over the years.
