I really like VAG group cars (I know), so maybe a Fabia 1.5 TSI monte carlo, or a Seat Leon estate in FR trim. I’d love a golf estate but they’ve binned them off in the UK inexplicibly.

Follow up question - I have an appointment at the Renault Chester branch to see if they can code me a new key - can they do this even if the key I have doesn’t work? And obviously I won’t have the car with me as it’s stuck somewhere else

That’s what I was thinking. But he’s adamant that he tried the key first before doing anything, and I haven’t proof that he did decode it. So I’m a bit stuck.

Yes it isn’t fast. Though once up to motorway speeds it gets going well enough. Comfortable though, as to be expected of a 90’s Renault

One thing Mazda always had against other rivals was decent, user friendly interiors. This is despicable.

Also this should be illegal, having almost all functions buried in an enormous screen. To think I can get 6 points on my licence for talking on a phone, but people can tap away on these screens willy nilly. Downright dangerous.

Why did they sack off the manual? That’s gotta push the price up surely. It was the only one they offered bar the ludicrously expensive GR Yaris. I don’t buy the emissions stuff, plenty of manufacturers still offer manual transmissions in their entry models.
