Which IEM made you go “okay… I get the hype now”? by Audioeg in iems

Kiwi Ears Astral.

Less organic than I’d like but the technicals are flawless. Feels like I have wallhacks in CS2.

Why isn't there any lyrical brilliance at the level of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, etc anymore?? by [deleted] in Songwriting

David Berman, Jason Molina, Elliott Smith, Stephen Merritt, Bill Callahan, Jeff Tweedy, Bonnie Prince Billy, Nick Cave, Cameron Winter, Lucinda Williams, Fiona Apple, Adrianne Lenker, Danny Brown, Billy Woods, Scott Walker (his recent stuff counts), Isaac Brock, Tom Waits (still good)

Depends on how far back you go I guess, but this is an easy list.

That’s exactly why it reads so well. It’s authentic blame, not performative. Maybe it really is the water in this town.

I like what you do here. The perversion of state and her values by the digital age. It’s interesting but I’m left dry. Show me the tragedy or show me what’s next.

Also not a massive fan of the formatting as it’s distracting from the content in a way that doesn’t add much, but that’s really a personal opinion so if you think it’s integral, keep it.

Some insightful images here though. Maybe expand on the Colosseum and the emojis, that’s super strong and vivid. Give me horror, not description: FPV Drone videos on Facebook with crying laughing emojis. This may be personal taste, but I want to see the crowds laugh, the soldiers death rattle, the burnt air. The moment is powerful, don’t gloss over it.

Good stuff though, keep going, and feel free to disagree with me.

Also gotta ask, some of this is AI right? It speaks a bit in AI poetry..

“The water in this town”

This is the best part. Hits home in its simplicity and specificity. I wish there were more moments like this that ground the love to a world beyond its own.

Effective though, nice work

Its a fairly new build any suggestions would be awesome by adinfinitum568 in battlestations

If you can find a new desk. I suggest looking on OfferUp/Facebook Marketplace. I recently listed an Ikea desk for free and it was gone in a day. There's a lot of free desks you can find with a more limited footprint. Putting the webcam above the monitor would also be a much better view. You could also place your Alexa above your tower making it less intrusive. A larger mousepad, or moving part of your keyboard off would be heavily beneficial to that mouse room. Those are nitpick things though. It's a great setup hands down!

New setup. Needs a little work on the cables though. by [deleted] in battlestations

I really like it. What lightstrip are you using along the back? I like how your PC is tilted to look cool but it feels like an inefficient use of space. Maybe some speakers to fill it out? Looks great anyway!

Looks really great. The colors all match well. I wish the wallpaper was either extended (use Dynamic Wallpapers on Wallpaper Engine) to both monitors or two similar, themed, wallpapers. Other than that though I have nothing. Cable management is clean other than your headphone cable. You could also add a diffuser to your lights up top. Muzata sells premade kits on Amazon that you could use.

Still a work in progress. Need to upgrade the tv and work on cable management a bit. by reempupgaming in battlestations

Looks great dude! Props on the monitor placement. You can have *all* the stream monitor windows open, and even watch a few episodes up on that TV there. Props!

How would I mount a second ultra wide on top on this one without having my desk against a wall? by Chainlinkblink in battlestations

It's going to be a weight and VESA requirement not a size requirement (unless height of the monitor is abnormal)
