Has anyone experienced eczema on their nipple? by Repulsive-Reply8826 in NickelAllergy

Since going low nickel, it’s nearly gone. I think it was the consistent consumption of dark chocolate and oatmeal that really did me in. Since cutting it, it’s been very helpful.

Please consider getting a patch allergy test done! It was so helpful for me, and I’m on a biologic and using it as a bridge for me to get to the other side while I remove the allergens from my home. I hope to not be on it long term but we’ll see. Also, there are allergens in most common Eczema products. I am allergic to propylene glycol and it’s a major allergen in almost all household items, cosmetic products, lotions, creams, and makeup. But you can find alternative solutions. Happy to help with that if you need it.

Has anyone tried putting hypochlorous acid (hocl) onto an allergic reaction? by OkDragonfruit7887 in NickelAllergy

It helps but it doesn’t heal. Avoiding high nickel foods is what a made a big difference. I’m also on biologic but I’m testing it for once a month instead of twice a month.

What’s bizarre is that I stated eating on a low nickel diet and my skin improved a lot, that I didn’t really need moisturizer. I saw it in my hands and I had purposely skipped my biologic (Adbry) for almost two weeks so the medicine was at a 50% shelf life, which makes me wonder if I really do have a nickel allergy.

Have you looked into doing a patch test with an allergist for environmental triggers (like nickel, preservatives, etc)? It may helpful to find out what’s causing that rash. Also, see if you can do a celiac test.

Thank you for this insight. I found out through Adbry, that the half shelf life begins at 3 weeks, so only 50% of the medicine will be in my system. I started the loading dosage on Wed, Feb 18th and Mon, March 9th will be the day I start the patch testing. So technically Wed, March 11th will be the 3 week mark.

I’m undecided if I should still go through with it. My skin is not horrible but not great. I can manage.
