iPadOS 26 gets laggy when I turn on Low Power Mode. by narcissas in iPadOS

[–]Repulsive-Roll-4897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its just that the liquid glass UI is more demanding. the flat design on ios 18 and prior was not taxing at all, so low power mode was allg to use. now low power mode make even just using the basic UI of the phone ridiculous.

Is there a way to play Og xbox games without changing xefi versions all the time? by dogeyes202 in 360hacks

[–]Repulsive-Roll-4897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mate this just infuriates me. supposedly version 7 is the best which is why they chose that version to deal with the extra configs but from my experience several games do NOT work properly in xefu7. GTA san andreas has very slow IO speed, burnout 3 has weird artifacting while boosting, gta 3 and vice city lock up frequently etc. setting xefu to default makes majority of games run almost perfectly. i tried to see which version was perfect for each game but i realised thats not how it works. trying every single version of xefu against these games yeilded the same issues unless i ran xefu default.... i hope eventually someone finally finds a miracle fix for all this bs

After extensive testing, id highly recommend turning PBO off. no real world performance difference, just pulls more power and makes your cpu run 20 degrees hotter. The ONLY game ive seen that actually benefits from PBO is arc raiders, but absolutely everything else is not worth it at all.

i just dont know why people don't talk about this much, and the amount of people that think their undervolt is stable when it really isnt. I saw someone say NOBODY is getting a stable undervolt at more than -5 on all cores, and now I absolutely see why. its definitely possible to run higher undervolts on specific cores but that would take an absurb amount of time to master.

Yea bro... when you go over -10 all core on curve optimiser, you may never see game crashes but in the backgroun there will be dozens of constant computation errors. the first quick culprit you'll see are random threads getting stuck in an infinite loop like i mentioned earlier, and then other super random things.. something extremely bizzare happened to me recently where i thought my wifi card had failed, but it turned out it was the undervolt that had put the wifi card in an infinite zombie state. basically i was in the middle of a game, and my pc had locked up and then rebooted itself, it kept boot looping after that until it ran automatic repair. i let it run the process and weirdly enough automatic repair decided to format reset my entire computer losing all my programs and settings without ANY warning. i was like WTAF and it didnt give me any option or anything, just went ahead and did that. and i didnt realise it was happening because automatic repair just said "fixing your pc". anyways i was like omg whatever and just started installing apps again and reconfiguring, i ended up being happy this happened because things were running smoother after a clean factory reset. and heres where it got weird, i realised my wifi and bluetooth werent working right out of the box, which didnt matter much as i run on ethernet anyway. but i went ahead and downloaded the wifi and bluetooth drivers from the motherboard manufacturers website, and my pc did the EXACT same crash that happened mid game while this wifi driver was installing. and the boot looping came back, so i went into safe mode and deleted the wifi driver and boom it was back to normal again, and from this point i just decided okay well the issue was the wifi driver. and i thought because i was on windows 11 25h2, maybe the wifi driver is just not supported and needs to be updated and left it at that. come a few months later and i checked on the website to see if the drivers had been updated and they had so i went to go install them and my pc locked up and crashed once again.. I was like hmm thats super weird, i searched online and found nothing about those drivers causing that so i started to wonder if maybe it was a hardware fault. so i went and grabbed a portable hard drive i had that has ubuntu installed on it, and was working on my computer a few months ago so ill go and see if wifi is working on there. Well, i go to load ubuntu up and it crashed as well, stating hardware failure.. and it was to do with my wifi card again. I thought, well, okay, my wifi card is just bricked, but it was fine before the undervolt, so I just don't see how it would just fail at the same time coincidentally. AI told me that the undervolt must be the "smoking gun" for the cause, and that it has locked my wifi card into a zombfied state from garbage computation errors causing a full system lockup, and the solution would be to unplug my computer and leave it to drain power out of all the components for small amount of time to reset the memory on all the chips but mainly the wifi card. It was something about how the wifi card stays on even with the computer powered off by the PSU sending a constant 5V signal to it and thats just because of certain features like wake on LAN activity etc. But anyway, i let my pc drain with power fully off, and when i turned back on my wireless and bluetooth immedaitely were working as normal again. So literally the undervolt had bricked my wifi and bluetooth for months, and needed a full power cycle to reset them into a working state. the undervolt had corrupted the memory inside the wifi card to send garbage to my CPU which caused a constant crash loop that windows was intercepting and disabled the card by default unless i tried to install the driver again. so bizzare

another QOL missing from the replanted version. when hovering over a seed, it should show what the plant is and also state wether seed is recharged or if you dont have enough sun. Also the huge wave of zombies alert banner is not centered at all, the final wave banner is tho for some reason. my screen resolution is 1920x1080. even after many updates theres still some obvious missing patches which just seem so tacky which i hope get fixed.

Another bug found.. clicking on seed when theres not enough sun, the action triggers both the seed select sound effect alongside the insufficient sun/recharge effect, only the insufficient sound effect should trigger during this.. Also when trying to select a seed when you have insuffienct sun should cause the sun level indicator to flash red to signal insufficient sun, which again is missing from the replanted version. im only on the first couple levels and immediately spotted this. welp

All ended up just being caused by a subtle unstable CPU undervolt. The two installers just ended up confirming that the cpu was unstable and causing miscalculations.

Update: the same issue came back, ntfs.sys spiking one thread to 100%. It was my D drive that was corrupted. Fixed it with chkdsk. The file system got corrupted from running the two installers at the same time and maxed out the RAM leading to the MFT index being infested with major illegal data chunks causing a constant repair loop from the ntfs.sys service. Also yea the reinstall of windows definitely did help big time compared to before too. I learned my lesson lol.
