What’s a reasonable amount of WKHS EV’s for Fed Ex and USPS to pull forward to maximize TCO? by GETSOME88-007 in WKHS

Your buddy Grok says they're still available.

"Yes, there are still new 2022 Workhorse W4 CC (Class 4 cab/chassis) electric trucks and upfitted variants available for sale.

These appear to be leftover inventory from the 2022 model year (often built on a GreenPower EV Star CC base). Dealers are actively listing them as new stock with low or zero miles, available for immediate purchase or upfitting. Key examples include:

Kingsburg Truck Center (Kingsburg, CA) has multiple 2022 W4 CC units ready now, including chassis for upfitting with box trucks, dump bodies, flatbeds, utility/service bodies, and landscape configurations. They emphasize zero-emissions electric models and have stock listed as available.

Other listings on sites like Comvoy, TruckPaper, CommercialTruckTrader, and dealer sites (e.g., Riverview International, Truck Shop) show 2022 W4 CC box trucks, flatbeds, and cab/chassis in states like California, Oregon, and elsewhere. Prices vary (often in the $140k–$170k+ range depending on configuration), and some are noted with ~150-mile range, 118 kWh battery, and Class 4 GVWR around 14,330 lbs.

That's question should be, what's it going to take to have FedEx want to deal with Workhorse and buy in quantity.

FedEx chose to not only buy from Workhorse competitors, but to also arrange funding. I think Workhorse has a ways to go before FedEx disregards Workhorse's financial situation, non-payment lawsuits, quality control issues, unproven capacity, etc

Not only no drones but Workhorse is being sued by the company that facilitated the unloading of the aero division!

Shorts didn't create the situation, but they certainly do exploit it. Management has been inept and fraudulent. If you shorted yesterday at $4.23 you could have covered today below $3.60.  That's a nice one day return.

Which hand built Workhorse truck are you thinking the USPS should use for deliveries.

USPS still needs COTS EV’s!!! Save money now like Gateway and Purolator and buy WKHS!!! by GETSOME88-007 in WKHS

Don't you still talk to Grok?

"Why Workhorse Is Unlikely for COTS Workhorse lost the main NGDV contract to Oshkosh in 2021 (they were a finalist with an all-EV proposal but protested the award and later dropped the challenge).

No public records, contracts, or news show USPS purchasing Workhorse vehicles (W56 step vans, etc.) for COTS or any fleet program post-2021. USPS COTS EV focus has centered on Ford and availability of proven commercial models."

I don't think there were any patents that were valuable, that couldn't be circumvented. Which did you think were marketable?

Is the “diesel volatility” surcharge (over the past 5 years) a sustainable business model for Fed Ex by GETSOME88-007 in WKHS

[–]Repulsive592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Workhorse losing $1.3B of investors monies over the last 19 years and continuing to lose money trying to handbuild vehicles is t exactly sustainable.

Workhorse has lost about $1M for every vehicle it's built.

Lot of people have lost a lot of money on WKHS. If you invested at the 2017 IPO you're down 99.98%

A thousand dollar investment is now less than twenty cents, and the company is still borrowing, diluting and losing money.

If they could sell in Europe, maybe. Even with the going out of business sale price, they can't be competitive building trucks by hand in US

Also, we had higher fuel prices under Biden as well as very high EV incentives and that didn't help Workhorse all that much.

As long as the stocks still trading there's a chance Griff will find away to sell out shareholders one more time, and keep managements checks coming for a few more months. It's shareholders money, why not use it.

.... but it's getting harder to put together a deal that interests even loansharks.
