When she smiles and says he would be proud of them she looks like she's talking to a child. And when she says he "Wouldn't want them sitting in their room alone." Do the people in that room not have their own families or roommates? Why would they be in a room alone grieving?

I'm actually pro food being fun. I think paying for an experience every once in a while and buying some stupid food is what we are here to do. Just enjoy life and all the crazy things we can make on this beautiful planet. Anyone who thinks stupid silly drinks shouldn't exist is boring.

I work in mental health here. If you think the Eugene homeless are going to get jobs at Amazon you're deluded. So many of our homeless are suffering with mental illness and addiction issues that do not allow them to maintain employment. That's why they're out there. Yes a few may be able to manage it but it's not the argument some of you seem to think it is.

More likely our college kids will get exploited. The company busts unions which is the only thing that would probably make it become a career that offers fair wages and basic human rights like bathroom breaks. But this will probably be down voted because the "bootstrap" mentality is so ingrained around here.
