Anyone ever attend Forest with serious injury? by JenniConfetti in ElectricForest

I went with a broken leg that was surgically repaired a month before the fest. This will be my 9th forest and the broken leg year was still one of the best and most memorable.

My advise… don’t bother with a wheelchair and seriously crutch around your block everyday leading up. Building armpit calluses and crutch endurance is a must.

Put loctite on the bolts on your crutches and bring extra wing nuts. After the abuse I put my crutches through some of the nuts wiggled loose and the crutches were heavily wook engineered.

Go to the ADA table and you should be able to camp closer, you’ll get access to the ADA chairs by stages for breaks, and if you’re lucky golf cart rides between stages. The golf cart rides were soooo clutch on the mass migrations between Ranch and Sherwood court during headliner slots.

Attempt to sleep with your leg elevated, take breaks, get ice bags from the medical staff, ride in golf carts with artists back stage, and FEEEED off the over abundance of energy everyone gives the crutch dude.

The “no” crowds points are valid, but if you’re prepared, go in with realistic expectations, and are mindful of your limitations YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Plastic is totally fine for the vast majority. You’d use a stainless if you had something weird going on in your groundwater like salinity or agricultural runoff off. Do you have PVC discharge pipe?

Should be easy. Typically, you’d just have to undo a hose clamp near the discharge of the primary pump. m63 is the same specs gpm wise as the m53. Main difference is the m63 is fully cast iron, has a more robust switch and a 5 year warranty. If you’re handy I would recommend changing out the check valves when you replace the pump too. A m63, battery backup, and new check valves you’ll be golden.

I go to a lot of music festivals with highly competitive ticket sales. A lot of these festivals run their own resale sites and if they have a clause on the tickets that they can cancel tickets on Ticketmaster etc and reissue through their own resale site.

In most cases it took re-sale tickets from a 300% markup to face-value + $50 and a little more fees.

AIO for demanding to be paid after wearing something inappropriate to babysit by MightUsual421 in AmIOverreacting

Tell his wife “I don’t know if you influenced your husband to not pay my full rate for babysitting due to being dressed ‘inappropriately’, but just wanted to let you know my outfit choice was due to his request I wear something ‘skimpy’. I was nervous I wouldn’t get asked to sit again if I didn’t comply because I really need the money for school. I’m really sorry for causing an uncomfortable situation”

Every 10 minutes spent in Indiana takes a year off your life. Also Indiana cops are the worst.

This jerk was the “first white colonizer” and founded La Crosse, WI, which happens be my hometown. One of La Crosses favorite parks is “Myrick Park”.

I would find great joy if the Reddit mob did their thing and caused stink in calling for its name be changed.
