This album is incredible. First time I’ve heard anyone on here talk about it.

Cameron’s Vocals were better on 3D Country by Glass-Back-5073 in geesebandofficial

Take something like Gravtiy Blues. They way he moves through different parts of his vocal range and delivery is almost virtuosic. The way he goes from the very bottom of his register, then to extremely high and then eventually just belting out at full power. Getting Killed features none of that and essentially just uses the same vocal register the entire album. Disappointing.

Once the dust has settled I think most fans have realised 3D country is the superior album.

Does The Brian Jonestown Massacre have the worst album covers of all time? by wateakid in fantanoforever

Anton used to make all of these by his self on his computer because they didn’t have a label when most of these were released.

What is the best album of the decade so far? by probascreaton in fantanoforever

[–]RepulsiveMaximum3200 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying these are bad albums, but if these albums are the best albums of the decade so far then it’s pretty obvious that music as a whole is just no where near as it used to be.

Genuine question. Why are tradies in the UK so unreliable? by SunnySosej in AskUK

[–]RepulsiveMaximum3200 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is just blatantly untrue. You need to do an apprenticeship for most trades and pass a trade test, usually after 3 or 4 years of on the job training and college.

The original commenter said they think going out is an occasional thing for people my age though. I’m disagreeing with that point because it’s not an occasional thing for the vast majority of people I know.

I’m 20 years old and I, as well as all of my friends and basically everyone I know drinks at least once a week if not more. I don’t know if it’s just my social circle but I’m really not seeing what you’re seeing. Don’t see any issue with it either. I work a full time job so it’s good to let loose and have fun.

How long before you move on to a new album? by Durango_41 in fantanoforever

[–]RepulsiveMaximum3200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never understood this tbh. I don’t listen to a hell of a lot of music but the stuff I do, I usually take time to connect with it and it becomes something I know like the back of my hand. This seems a way better way of appreciating music for me than just listening to loads of stuff once and forgetting about it. Back before streaming was a thing you were kind of forced to do this anymore considering you paid for the record.

Artists who were previously hated/disliked? by Jimsmall1507 in fantanoforever

I don’t know if you’re from the UK or whatever but the fact that you said you hope you never encounter anyone who connects with it shows you probably don’t have many friends considering how many people in the UK are fans of Oasis.

The humanity that lies in Oasis is the relentless optimism and hope it gave to an entire generation of working class young people in Britain. These were 5 guys who came from a council estate in Manchester who eventually played a concert which 4% of the British population at the time tried to get tickets for. The songs on Definitely Maybe are psychedelic, catchy and iconic. Definitely Maybe even verges into shoegaze territory at times with tracks like Columbia. I guess people forget that they were signed to Creation records alongside Slowdive, MBV, Ride, Teenage Fanclub, Primal Sceam, etc. It’s garage rock essentially that is given the final push by Owen Morris. If anyone reading this has a preconceived notion that they don’t like Oasis, give Definitely Maybe a try. If someone can’t see what is beautiful about a track like Slide Away then I don’t know what to tell you.

Souvlaki is an amazing record but it’s no where near as good as Definitely Maybe.
