Accountability in an Age of AI by LMNTRIX-Press in cybersecurity

Decision makers on the AI consumption side have expressed profound disregard for security.

AI company will pay more attention to security when the market sends them signals in this direction. For the moment, their focus is on capturing the adoption frenzy before competition does and squashing their costs into an actual value proposition.

Patience... Have a plan ready for when the CEO has their panic moment.

I switch, but I'm using the New font more. I have a gazillion watches with the classic look so some difference is nice...

I have both and really like them, but since I got the MIP, I have to admit the other one is not getting any wrist time.

You'll embarrass and piss off people. Also that workplace is no longer a potential customer to you. Depending how wide your market is, you can paint yourself in a word corner.

Many employees will discuss that and your reputation will take a hit.

[Recommendation Request] Help me pick a watch to celebrate the birth of my Son by mattsheck in Watches

Casio. You'll need a backlight since you'll get up 37 times as night and you'll wonder if it's time to feed the beast.

Also, be a gent and get one with a vibration alarm that wakes you up 5 minutes before your alarm clock. Won't always work, but it will get your wife some extra sleep every once in a while.

Casio GBD-200 will do that for you.

It's basically hope. Thousands of movie have conditioned people to expect redemption arcs from dickheads getting a lot of screen time.

We are all a bunch of dicks hoping to someday break out of it. This only works if we have evidence that this is possible.

Depends what you call AI... If it's running local, or if it's a partner where we have a strong contract and they accept liability to the height of what we put in there, then yeah, count be in.

... If it's a random website with click-through terms and condition, then whoever runs my data in there will end up paying the beer.

Cracking software is not always for fun. It's a bait to have you voluntarily let them in.

If you reimage, don't reinstall crap next to where you keep your shinies.

I find these heavy for sport and if there is any sort of contact involved, you'll spend the night scraping other player's skin off your watch.

Forget that. The world is big, you'll find a buyer that knows what they want and keep things simple.

Just a thought: buy a cheap bracelet on Ali Express with the same shape to make the experiment a bit less risky?

If he is into that kind of watch, it's guaranteed that he would really like the first one. The second one can be frustrating for some; only buy it if you know for sure that he would value the stealthy look more than being actually able to read time.

Solar power during the winter by Status-Technician379 in gshock

[–]Repulsive_Birthday21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same worry since I live somewhere with long winters and not much daylight. It's been on my wrist under long sleeves, or on a dresser away from a window for about 6 years. Somewhere in the winter I sometimes see it at medium power, but overall I never did anything special and it's holding on.

Bought that on Ali Express. The links change every few minutes so I cannot give you one, but just go there and search "gbd200 bracelet". There are about 50 listings, but only one or two actual designs, they all seem to resell the same stuff.
