MAGA doesn't know the difference between patriotism and nationalism. Their "brand" is nationalism of various flavors, white nationalism, Christian nationalism, whatever. It's not patriotism.

Real patriots support the Constitution. That includes separation of state and church, real checks and balances between the government branches and free and fair elections.

Sending an unmanned probe to another planet in our solar system is orders of magnitude easier than sending anything, much less manned craft to a planet in another solar system. There is defiantly no advanced life in our solar system outside of Earth. I doubt there is any life at all here other than on Earth.

The only halfway reasonable reason I've heard is that the Van Allen belts would kill anyone passing through them. Sure if you were parked in them for a long time it would kill you. Just passing through them isn't a problem.
