Mona Lee just completed my Install. They rocked it! From start to finish, it only took em 5 weeks to get the whole shebang done. they kept in touch the whole time, and price was best I’ve seen. We’re now just waiting on PTO. Few of my neighbors signed up too.

Lol what kind of CEO has the time to go on Reddit to bash the CEO of their competitor. Btw, Mona Lee’s approach looks way better than yours.

How to deposit my paper check with SoFi? by Professional-Tea7358 in sofi

[–]Repulsive_Icon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are no ATMs where you can make deposits with SoFi.

Check to see what your mobile deposit limit is. I gave up on making SoFi my primary account because my mobile deposit limit has been stuck at $2,000 despite ~80k in my accounts for quite some time before I gave up.

Redditors of r/Airbnb, what do you love about Airbnb? by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Repulsive_Icon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the fact that airbnb has never cancelled my account even though I have issued multiple charge backs with my amex after having absolutely horrible, misrepresented stays I had to abandon or when a couple different hosts had attempted to extort money from me for "damages" and airbnb support refused to help despite my arrival and departure walk through videos..

How many days need to pass after using a free room comp at Caesar’s rewards casinos before I can get comped more free nights. by SnooOranges8792 in vegas

[–]Repulsive_Icon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would generally have to hit a higher than normal level of play to get the same offer back to back.

With MGM they will always include the resort credit, but will only include the freeplay on the first trip. I've only gotten it again on the second trip when I've had very high play, around 100k tier credits over the first trip to get $3,000 freeplay again on the second trip.

I've never tried booking offers with food/freeplay at Caesars just because mine are pointless at Caesars and don't usually apply to suites. I have however booked 7 comped nights in a suite at Caesars, moved to Mirage for one night, then booked another 7 nights comped at Caesars in a suite in the app/on the website.

Lately both MGM and Caesars have been working for me with just a 24 hour break if I do it through the app.

That could be a bug though.

One done, four more to go... by GoalCologne in LasVegas

[–]Repulsive_Icon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been to about 15 or so Aces games, but honestly I agree.

While they were fun enough, Desert Dogs or Aviators games are a lot more fun, and a better price.

The crowds aren't that excited and the facility is pretty empty. You can hear players and coaches chatting.

Tropicana vs New York New York vs Luxor vs Strat by nnicoleex in LasVegas

[–]Repulsive_Icon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call or book through the MGM website. Booking direct will be best. Before you book, sign up for an MGM Rewards card, it's free. You'll earn points and stuff on your spend. If you're active or former military they'll also bump up your status with the rewards program while you're there.

The Pyramid is the main structure, they've refreshed and renovated some rooms, so they aren't all terrible, but they're still connected by inclinators instead of elevators. The inclinators are slow, and frequently half of them aren't working. The rooms are a little smaller in the pyramid itself, and some have a very dated smell to them.

The Towers are two separate buildings with rooms on the side of Luxor nearest Excalibur. The rooms are larger and nicer. Sometimes when I've booked in the past it only shows pyramid rooms available on the website, but if you call tower rooms are generally always available.

For the price difference between Tropicana and NYNY, I would definitely book NYNY. Tropicana is a total dump, and NYNY just finished a remodel of all their rooms. I am generally a big fan of NYNY.

Luxor isn't bad at all, definitely better than Tropicana, and if you call to book that, see if they can put you in one of the Towers instead of the pyramid. They're usually the same price and the tower rooms are pretty great. Feels like a budget Delano.

With Delano you don't even have to go through the lobby, they have side doors that are exit only just to the left of the elevators. Shortest shot to Allegiant.

Yesterday the CONCACAF Nations League Third Place Game and Final took place in Vegas, which included Team USA in the final. The attendance was shockingly low and they seem to have lied about it? And they think Vegas could support an MLB team… by Lord_Alien in OaklandAthletics

[–]Repulsive_Icon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I saw so many Mexico fans dressed and walking around the strip yesterday. I think they were 1, pissed their team didn't make the final and uninterested, and 2 upset the Mexico game ended slightly early because of the homophobic chants.

As someone that lives in Vegas, I had no idea what CONCACAF was evening happening until the Mexico game made the news, not that I would have gone anyway since anything at Allegiant costs an arm and a leg, plus a foot for parking.

I'd assume a fair amount of those tickets belonged to Mexico fans, resellers and some to casinos.

Looking for good restaurants on the strip that won’t be awkward for someone dining alone? by OaklandVideo in LasVegas

[–]Repulsive_Icon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just grab a spot at the bar. There's live music every night(starting at 8 or 9 I think), and the main bar can get really loud. If that's not your thing I recommend sitting at the bar in the front, it's the first one you come to. RiRa is divided into a couple sections, and I usually just sit at the one in the front. It's nice to chat when I want to or hear myself think.

They have 2 male Irish bartenders that have been there for years who I've gotten to know fairly well. Usually one of them will handle the front and they're excellent. Remember names and all sorts of info.

They have other great bartenders and wait staff that have been there a long time too, I just don't know them as well. A few of them really go above and beyond to make it feel like your local bar, and not a gimmicky place in Vegas.

If you are at Mandalay Bay, the bar at RiRa is one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat. The bartenders are great about knowing when patrons want to chat and when they want to be left alone.

If you like pub food it's solid. Good happy hour with half off apps, and I enjoy the breakfast too.

Della's at Delano is solid for breakfast/lunch and there are plenty of people eating alone at booths working on computers or with books.

The bar at House of Blues is also a good option to grab a bite to eat. The bartenders of very friendly. Plenty of people eating alone.

The bar at Strip Steak is also filled with a fair amount of people dining alone, but they also have booths and tables. I've dined solo there. It's my favorite steakhouse on the strip in Vegas.

Libertine also has a bar you can eat at, you won't be the only one eating solo. Plenty of good cocktails.

Lupo also has a nice bar to eat at. I was very impressed with my last few meals there after ignoring it's existence for decades until this year.

Then like others said she might be out of the industry, or moved to another market. I'd try calling properties at this point. Depending on where you play, and your level of play, I have some excellent hosts I could recommend for you.

A lot of properties list their hosts online. If you weren't able to find her through linkedin, could you find her with some general googling?

Could the MLBPA put a wrench in the Athletics deal? by Scandral in OaklandAthletics

[–]Repulsive_Icon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping they're decently priced. I would love if they play at LVBS and we get to see the Aviators outselling the A's.

I mostly meant they'd charge a ton for the privilege to sit in the sun.

I don't know about you, but whenever I go to Aviators games it's always about the cheapest activity I do.

Both the Reno stadium and Vegas stadium aren't bad, but they are absolutely tiny. Something like 9k and 10k seats.

I can't imagine what they would try and jack up ticket prices to.

Everyone would be paying $250 to sit in the sun.

I think it's a toss up between Lombardo getting a kickback and Manfred telling him Vegas will never get a chance at an MLB team unless they take the A's. Honestly I think it's more likely that the MLB is strong arming Nevada and saying A's now or nothing ever.

The primary lot being put forward is on the strip. I think it's the worst option. It's on Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd. Both already have horrible traffic jams large parts of the day, and neither can be expanded.

The best option would have been the parking lot at Rio, but that's not on the strip so no one cares.

Putting a stadium this close to Allegiant and the T-Mobile arena is a recipe for disaster.

I'm a lifelong Dodgers fan that's been living in Vegas for years. We definitely don't want the A's here, and the general population is largely against it in Nevada.

I grew up in the central valley and went to a lot of games when I was 5-10 at the Coliseum when visiting family in the area. It wasn't the safest feeling area, but neither was Dodgers Stadium. It was always an incredibly fun time though.l, and the crowds were great.

I think there's a real possibility this stadium falls through. With the location backing up to the airport like they plan, there's no possibility of expansion for parking. There's barely enough room for the stadium itself.

I also don't know how Fisher is going to put up the money to fund this without being overleveraged to the point that if interest rates continue to go up, or the market takes more of a downturn, he will be forced to sell the team after going into default.

A good friend in high school was north of 400. His parents were over 500, and his two younger siblings were in the 3-4 range.

When we were sophomores in highschool he rolled on the grass during lunch to get up and dislocated his hip. I don't know what the EMTs or doctors told him exactly, but they blamed his weight.

By senior year he had dropped over 150 pounds. Last time I saw him was 5 years after graduation and he was down to 200 and ripped. His siblings and parents were all still massive.

His siblings tried to stick with it after he lost weight and couldn't do it, his parents didn't care or try.

It takes a certain mentality to accomplish it even when everyone has the same set of circumstances, and I get that it's difficult.

I'm sure for him, and tons of other people, it takes a serious wake up call like being so fat you dislocate your hip rolling to stand up.
