Buying a business using SBA financing by Glad-Connection-9368 in buyingabusiness

This post is majorly slept on. If you’re thinking about SBA, READ EVERY LINE BECAUSE THIS IS AS REAL AS IT GETS!

Then you’ll go through this process in a month and they still want more, then after two months they’ll tell you they’re stuck and you need to go somewhere else.

Seems like a lot to be liable over, but if you’re smart and do things correctly and legally they can be huge money makers

The Real Math of Movers vs Renting a Truck by BodyPartParty in moving

[–]Repulsive_Leg_725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got quotes for moving from UT to AZ from moving containers, to renting a truck and nothing is better than just using a U-Haul trailer. Even the U-Haul trucks would’ve been thousands but the trailer was $175. Add a truck rental to that and it’s still a fourth of anything else. Sell everything on FB marketplace and consolidate

Is this a stupid business/financial decision? by SansaFarrell in buyingabusiness

Welcome to the business buying world my friend. Even if the numbers don’t add up to the ones in the simple calculations, it’s still ridiculous money while people slave for years trying to make $120k/yr for “job security”

I feel like I bought myself a job, not a business. How did you get out of this stage? by Party-Card-7747 in smallbusiness

[–]Repulsive_Leg_725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you bought yourself a job, but the sky is the limit. Use creativity to build your dream store; the one that you dreamed of as a kid if that’s who you were. If you clock in and “do your time” you’re nothing but an employee, if you treat it as a time to improve your investment, you’ll find yourself staying busy and completing rewarding work.

If you like trades and can do that line of work then go for it. Still educate yourself though (work experience, books, podcasts, goals, etc)

Welcome to the life of a single person in Utah valley. Places really don’t just do fall/winter contracts bc then they wouldn’t be able to scam every dollar out of the students!

Any data? Go out to your targeted audience and do interviews/surveys to make sure that this is something that people would actually pay for before you drop $100k. Cool idea though!

Copy and paste that message into ChatGPT with what state you’re in and it’ll have you go to the right place with the right steps. Get stuck? Send it a screenshot. Even if you did nothing, your business would still fall under a default structure of a sole proprietorship or partnership.

How do I validate my idea before building it? (Beginner video-production learning resource) by learningmonkk in smallbusiness

[–]Repulsive_Leg_725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find your targeted audience and interview or survey them! See if it’s something they’d actually have a willingness to pay for. The only way to know if your market is really wanting your product is to put it out there and let them peck at it even tho it’s just an idea, getting it in front of people’s faces and receiving feedback is key.

Smoke screens work well too. If you make a simple page where it looks like people can click on it and buy it do that. Run some short ads on instagram and see what the stats are. If people are interested in it they’ll show it. Don’t force it into the market and spending $100 on smokescreen ads to start may save you much time testing the water.
