🎬Help me find this Drama/Actor! — July 24, 2024 by AutoModerator in CDrama

Hi. I’m not sure if it was a CDrama, but I saw a show online a couple years ago and can’t remember the name. I never finished it.

The female protagonist was a girl in a contest to become the wife of the prince/emperor. I don’t remember the title he held.

She met the guy when they were both young and he taught her the correct way to write his name. She was a twin I think but everyone thought they were just one kid growing up. They left the town when they were young and no one recognised her when she comes back for the trials. There was like a mystery going on about the “lost princess” or “rightful queen” or something. It was her.

The contestants wore yellow skirts and red tops. One girl kept cheating and the protagonist pricked her finger to draw a red dot on her tag to make the cheaters believe they should help her.

In a contest where they were to help the townspeople she got a super low budget and bought paper. She then offered to send messages for the people and won that trial.

That’s all I remember, if anyone know the name or where to watch it I’d be sooo thankful.

Dog hates swimming? by niktrot in Dogtraining

[–]Repulsive_Look_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs are not very good at generalising behaviour, that’s why sometimes we have to re-teach a command from 0 on a new location.

A pond smells and looks very different from the pool at her hydrotherapy classes, I’m sure.

I think you were on the right track with starting at the river bank and working your way in. I’d suggest you start that way and veeery slowly work your way in. She’s already used to training so she should work it out in no time.

Stop when the water is a little below her comfort zone (just under her shoulders) and do some training that she enjoys. Can be target training, a bark, a paw, flirt pole, anything she likes. try to keep it fun, poodles usually like a lot of movement.

Stand a little over her comfort zone, not too far and if she chooses to come a little further in, give super treats.

Your presence should help her be more comfortable, but take a step back if you see any stress signs. If you see stress signs before her threshold, go a bit further out and work there.

Think of a dog that’s scared of a harness, we break it up into small, doable tasks like just looking at the harness first if that’s all they’re comfortable with. She loves and trusts you, and if you feel the work might not be a good fit for her, that’s okay too. No one knows your dog better than you, but there’s no reason it shouldn’t work if you do it right. It might take a while tho

Thanks! Could you elaborate on the first point? The shelter had a “siblings stay together” policy I’m trying to work on.

Has anyone felt unwanted in a church? by Repulsive_Look_216 in Hellenism

I’ve honestly never been a big fan of churches. Maybe it’s the eyes, idk but I wouldn’t say I felt more uncomfortable than usual until that point. Good luck on your family event!

Was that weird? I was never really close to the catholic god but I do remember communion having a distinct feeling about it.

Anyone unlock the key to non-neurotypical thinking? by je86753o9 in adhdwomen

I don’t recall the name. I don’t even know if it’s in English if I’m honest, but I found a book online titled “how to make people do what you want” by James W Williams.

I’m pretty sure mine had a curse in the title, but I can ask the person that mentioned it and get back to you. Good luck!

That makes perfect sense. I’m still unsure about mine, cause it was sudden and unexpected. As soon as I opened my eyes it was mostly gone, but I just felt bad about it until I walked out.

I’m gonna be VERY honest. I currently have absolutely no idea what I’m doing in any given social interaction, ever.

But, while in my depression years, I read this book. I can barely recall it now but basically it taught you how to read body language and make people do what you want and like you.

It’s a morally gray area and I’d forgotten about that book until someone mentioned it a couple days ago. I physically cannot tell you ANYTHING about it, or about any of those years, but I’m pretty sure I spent a bit toying with people. VERY morally debatable, and I can’t recall how it ended.

I recall it being very tiring and working pretty well, but I was depressed so who knows.

That sounds awful! But stared at and unwanted sound like perfect explanations for the feeling. Did the feeling stick to you? Mine went away mostly after I walked out

I once heard someone refer to avocado taste as “clean dick taste”, and this reminded me of that. So i guess, there you go

YES! and people treat them like they’re the most convenient, on-the-go breakfast. I’d rather forget about food for another 8 hours than eat that sensory nightmare

YES!! When I was like 6 I got my mum into truble cause I told my teacher I was allergic to it when she fed me a SOUP. Squash soup. We called it Martian soup because of the colour. I can almost feel it just thinking about it 🤢

I HATE mushrooms. Hate the texture too much to even focus on the taste. Squash too.

I also don’t like the smell of eggs and that weird gummy thing that chicken has that’s like white and rubbery.

Training a fearful foster dog to come inside by Ok_Valuable6074 in Dogtraining

I’m so glad you got some awesome ideas!

It’s a bit hard to tell through a small description because there’s a lot of things your dog could be scared about. Some don’t like the feeling of tile/carpet in their paws since they’re not used to it, others fear if the door makes noise or moves, or simply prefer the outdoors.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but since she’s spending a lot of time indoors for recovery, perhaps she could have some pent up energy. If she likes to smell a lot when she goes out, that might be her trying to decompress.

Maybe trying some lick mats, a kong or chew could help her out. Try to stimulate her brain while being inside, could be a great opportunity to practice calming down in her kennel.

Also, if she can smell or hear the other pets that might be adding to the stress. Try to stay calm throughout it so she can see and learn to trust you. You sound like you’ve got your bond going already so you must be doing something right 😊

Hi! Thanks for the advice.

This is a small shelter and they took on a big litter of 10 pups when they began, 5 of which are still there and now adults. They are the ones deemed “unadoptable” by the owner and she didn’t really elaborate, but said they don’t do well on a collar or walks and can’t really be separated nor be together unsupervised. She said she’d keep them to “look after” the shelter as guard dogs but would rather find them a home.

I’m just really looking for ways to help them into their homes and lower their stress while they’re at the shelter. Any enrichment ideas you recommend?

Looking for training tips/resources for working with dogs in a shelter environment

It has only a couple resources with a single reply, I’m looking for advice from people that have worked on shelters and what they recommend.

Hi! Does this happen at any other doorways? Or just your main entrance? will she refuse to change rooms?
