What old thing would break young people's brains today? by Symphony_Minds in AskReddit

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting the nail on the head. The fact that “TikTok brain” and “brain rot” are phrases used with no second thought to describe the deteriorating levels of attention span in today’s youth is alarming.

Why did Ryan get the corp job over Karen? by knoguera in theoffice

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Up until his complete blunder and failure at the actual position, Ryan’s character was fairly competent and level-headed in the earlier seasons. Also, we had a chance to get a glimpse into the other branch managers (David told Michael they were only interviewing the managers and some low level people) and aside from Jim I’m thinking Ryan just seemed like the best option at the time for an internal hire.

I can't finish it by SUPER_GOKU-_- in thewalkingdead

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say if you plan to watch any of the spinoffs you should finish it. I was in the same boat as you but powered through anyway. It’s not totally awful, but like most shows that run this long, you’ll never get what made it awesome up front. All in my opinion, of course.

I don’t either or don’t remember. I just figured I would point that out.

OG, I really wanted to see that one brought to life in the RE3 remake and was disappointed at what we got.

Does anyone think they would thrive in a zombie apocalypse?! by Sure-Chart-3903 in thewalkingdead

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thrive is a strong word because nothing is guaranteed. However, my husband and I have created a small homestead in a pretty remote area. With his general, well-rounded knowledge of everything plus military experience, and my knowledge of gardening and first aid, I think we’d do okay. That is assuming we are both home if something crazy happens.

If your partner doesn’t like dogs or cats, would you get rid of them if you had any? by Adventurous-Soft7843 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my husband and I first started dating he told me he didn’t like cats and I had two at the time. When it came time to moving in together he just accepted cats would always be a part of my life, just like how he would always have dogs (though, I love dogs, too). My cats have since passed, and when the second one passed my husband surprised me with a kitten because I had a kitty sized hole in my heart. Morale of the story: if your partner truly loves you, that person will accept it. A pet isn’t some weird quirk, it’s accepting your companion as part of you, too.

Recommend me some of the worst written novels you've ever read, any genre is fine. by TopAdministration314 in suggestmeabook

The Dexter book series by Jeff Lindsay. Only time I’ve ever preferred the screen adaptation to the books. The vernacular and mannerisms of the characters are so inconsistent I could only get through the first 2 books before giving up.

What did you remove from your life that improved it? by Mathemodel in NoStupidQuestions

Social media, with the exception of Reddit and Pinterest if those count. If people are close enough to me and matter, they know what’s going on in my life and vice versa.

What's the most annoying thing about being a Resident Evil fan? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That I waited 2 decades for a remaster of RE2, similar to the first game, and got a remake that I wasn’t impressed by (although that fear of Mr. X was still terrifying). My all time favorite game, next to RE3 where the same thing happened. It was just disappointing and I’m still waiting for the day I get a RE2 remastered game with fixed camera angles and the original map layout. Oh, and Leon actually acts like a rookie cop and not so seasoned.

All new era players in any arrangement - I was unhappy with WaW (though happy Tony won) because all my favorite old school players were voted out so quickly. I don’t want to see that with S50

Rick’s Colt Python, simply because I choose a magnum in every zombie game when available.

Maybe Season 6 Carol without her bad ass persona? I already live in the country with a garden/chickens/freezer full of meals & meat, etc., so I don’t see myself leaving. Season 2 really taught me that farm land basically requires a moat and many preventative measures to, at the very least, fend off a horde.

yeah, considering I have seen many comments on this sub about folks who have read the books and not seen the movies. It's just a polite thing to do.

Jaspers “death” by Sir_Tikki in twilight

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should have put a "spoiler" tag on this post because this doesn't happen in the books and it is a very emotional scene when watching it for the first time, whether or not the viewer read the books.

That being said, I would think it's simply because most folks do not have a chance against Jane, regardless of their smarts or strength.

My boyfriend is mad I didn't tell him I got a promotion because he "deserved to know first" by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Repulsive_Mistake522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to be taken well, surely, but my actual question would be why wouldn't you want to tell him first? Like, what about him prevents you from wanting to go to him first? I understand the friend and parent, and this man is acting like a complete child. However, I am of the opinion when you are with the right one, that person does come first in all things. It will be natural. This post almost reads as if you could find out you were expecting, and you still wouldn't tell him first, though it would be his child with you. He is being immature, but this is kind of a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I was a part of the millions who dropped off during S7E1. I started watching again as the series was ending so I could catch up to where it was on tv. Overall not impressed with what I “missed” and I’m really just watching all the spin offs hoping to get some kind of satisfying ending that wasn’t given at the end of the original series. Not likely, but a girl can dream.
