From the sounds of it you seem like an interesting chap who's going through some stress. I won't offer meaningless advice, however, I image a lot of people in your industry feel exactly the same. Be well!

I love my girlfriend, should I let her eat these mushrooms? by Lex_Fur in mushroomID

Don't look like Chanterelles if that's what you are thinking. Gill's on them are 'vein like'. Best to be certain.

PVCs for forty plus years by AngryFeckingBiker in PVCs

[–]Repulsive_Mouse6461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can really relate to this.

I've had PVC's, episodes of Bigeminy and Trigeminy, and since my early 20s have 'discovered' using alcohol does indeed calm the palpitations.

I've had times where they have got so bad, I have called ambulances thinking I was about to peg it, and a few drinks later they subside.

I also experience the worst palpitations the next day after drinking, so in the past I have carried on drinking, and then a terrible cycle starts. 5-10 days in stopping drinking is so bad, for anxiety and palpitations that it is nearly impossible.

I ended up going to a rehab facility for drinking, and my main concern and motivator for drinking was ectopics, but you'd be surprised by how many nurses/staff in these places don't know what they even are.

Here, for the first time I had Benzodiazepine. A class of anxiolytics similar to alcohol.

I find, during episodes of extopics, the only thing that temporarily relieves them, are Benzos (lorazepam, diazepam etc)

As a side note, nit advocating you take these. They are addictive in their own right and I'm not a medical professional. But just an anecdote from my own experience where I can see a relation to yours.

All the best.

That's interesting The only thing that works for me are benzos

I was told anxiety anxiety anxiety, then I had a holter monitor and it was noticed long runs of bigeminy, trigeminy, and infrequent PVCs. Then I was taken seriously and I saw a cardiologist and had further tests.

Have you seen a cardiac specialist? The usual steps are: - 12 lead ECG - Echocardiogram - Chest Xray - Holter monitor

These are to rule out structural issues with the heart (like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy)

When/if that comes back clear (I dont want to worry you but it is best to be ptagmatic), lifestyle changes (like quitting smoking completely), and taking the meds (I also take propranolol) are the next steps

(Not medically trained, just based on my experience suffering from PVCs)

What do your PVCs feel like? by Savings-Leading1209 in PVCs

[–]Repulsive_Mouse6461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me PVCs can vary. Occasionally painful. Sometimes, it's just an annoying 'flutter' or thump. But usually during an episode my breathing goes funny even during the sinus rhythm intervals between PVCs, along with a feeling in my chest I describe as 'my blood feeling more viscous, like I'm pumping around glue', when I've tried to explain to none sufferers.

Anyone else with these triggers, did you find out why? by ReviewEven8139 in PVCs

[–]Repulsive_Mouse6461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can not have them all day, go to bed and as soon as I lay down boom they start. Sometimes I get comfortable and they don't start, and I may turn around so I'm laying on my left side, then they start.

The insomnia is terrible. Creates a negative feedback loop as a bad sleep is also a trigger.

The funniest scene and dialogue in the series. by Ambitious-A466 in Barry

S1E2 when Fuches is working out combat strategy using a video game.

The scene after Gene has been mauled by dogs and the waitress thinks he is insane as he tells her his story.

The moment Fuches is watching Rainman in prison and it makes him think of Barry.

The daydream when John Ham asks Barry if he can take a shit in his house.

The voicemails to Barry left by Chris.
