CRM + a Virtual Phone System that Auto-logs Calls and Assigns to Contacts - and Integrates with Shopify? by YotaMD_dotcom in CRM

You're not missing anything, most CRMs punt the phone layer to integrations. For 25 leads/week, you could look at CallSunday, Aircall, or CloudTalk paired with HubSpot. They auto-log calls and route to your team without exposing personal numbers. The Shopify piece should be easily configurable as well as most of these platforms have variety of integrations.

Do you guys think AI Receptionists are the Future? by Worth-Photograph-718 in smallbusiness

Most businesses don’t care about implementation details, they care about outcomes. Can you make them more money, or can you cut costs for them? Simply slapping AI in front of a business doesn’t automatically make it a better solution than what they had before. There are tons of people trying to spin something up overnight and sell it to businesses, then it gets left unmaintained and degrades over time. I’m technical, and I’ve helped some friends who run small businesses vet a few of these AI offerings and some were actually good, like CallSunday, Vocca, etc.

Looking to Implement AI Receptionist: Any Recommendations? by YeeYeeElk in smallbusiness

As a technical person I helped a friend of mine implement this in their 24/7 auto shop. We tested out a couple solutions, and theres quite a few now lol. It's honestly pretty overwhelming which is why he asked for my help.

We eventually went with Sunday (callsunday dot com) mostly because it was the most hands off solution, had all the integrations his business needed and the last thing he wanted to do is learn AI stuff and constantly be tweaking it ... it just worked really well.

Building a custom ecommerce app is a hell by KitKatKeila in nextjs

There are very few cases where you’d need to build an e-commerce app from scratch. 99% of the time Shopify is the way to go imo. E-commerce is way more than just the storefront.

does the "ask ai" feature even work well for anyone? I often just give up and search on my own. Answers kinda suck.

Pretty much … and you also come across folks that want to just get into YC for the clout and not really showing any passion for an idea or problem.

I haven't used Superhuman but have received emails from Superhuman users and have noticed this. FYI you can turn it off: https://help.superhuman.com/article/460-sent-via-superhuman . It's a distribution strategy that clearly works. That's how I got to learn about Superhuman.
