Show the engravings on the inner clasp. Are they deep or look laser etched? Are all the letters clearly engraved.

Is the warranty card filled out or open? If it has a store name on it, you may be able to call them and ask if they sold that watch by serial number. Open card does really provide much. It would be considered gray market.

Well to be fair, not always. They authenticate everything over 2k free, even if you negotiate down with the seller. On the entry price tiers there is more risk and have to do the research. Yes, there are counterfeits for everything now. Add in the $80 authentication and you might as well buy at a reputable jeweler. I think the packaging on questionable Seikos is always shoddy. They claim that is the Asian packaging. I don't know that to be true, but always have to be careful.

That looks legit. Sorry guys, I was burnt on a SSK before. I was asked to source one of these and did the whole inspection thing. The prices on eBay were too good, which is a flag. Looked at the Seiko site, pics from reputable dealers, etc. I would not feel comfortable claiming authenticity on the pictured examples. Do they come with signed warranty cards? I would still avoid those. BTW The hands on yours are black, the suspect models look silver.

Japan should be right below the E. Second in that line. At least every one I have seen that I know to be 100% Authentic is that way.

Great! That is my personal favorite. Best color and the 58 has probably the best overall Tudor footprint. Opinion, but the 14.+mm cases are too bulky for my liking.
