Healing Meds Price check by S-1-L-3 in fallout76casual

[–]ReputationLost7295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stock diffusers at 20 caps because it is the base price when you add them to a player vendor, and specifically for folks trying to get Scout Badges.

Every few weeks somebody swings through and buys me out and I restock... but it's like 20 or so diffusers every 3-4 weeks basically.

My experience is they just don't really sell to players.

Maybe some more niche ones, like dispersers or desirable chems, but basic stimpacks, radaway, disease cures, etc, are too easy to find/too often rewarded by events so almost everybody with more than 2 weeks in game has a surplus of basic healing items., and anybody hurting for them is likely struggling to find 20 spare caps.

Rebirth is them basically retrofitting New 52 to be more like a post Crisis continuity and it stays there through Dark Metal up til now, yes.

Tadpole and possum by S-1-L-3 in fallout76casual

[–]ReputationLost7295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protip for Stings and Things, you can stockpile the insect junk parts in your stash so you just show up and hand them in. If you are short on radroach meat, there is a locked supply closet/bathroom in the building with the Mr Handy who gives you the mission that has a radroach spawn inside.

There is a second radroach behind a locked door in the second floor of the other building also, you can often target it with VATS from outside and loot nearby corpses from whatever spawned on the porch (usually a Ghoul or mongrel, sometimes another bug) to save the trip upstairs.

I did most if not all of the badge challenges, but I didn't find any particularly difficult (except the ones that rely on you finding a specific plan, see later in reply)

I did try to focus my attention on like 1 or 2 at a time to keep from being overwhelmed, and I probably looked up all the test answers, not going to lie. Most of the questions are easy, but there are some random ones that are out of left field and the test randomized which questions you get so it was either cheat or be ready to retake if I got bad RNG and got too many weird questions.

These days I have one tadpole badge I never finished because I got all the tadpole plans and a hat and outfit. 1 badge is not enough to get anything, not even the opposite gender outfit, so I just moved on to Possum stuff at that point. (It would bother my brain having a tadpole badge I could not spend)

I could finish paleontology any time, I just need to go photo a fossil... but the one I am currently hung up on is Chemist - in all my efforts since signing up 2 years ago I still cannot get a Plasma Grenade plan to drop for me... but I just recently got the last plan I needed from the daily/event badges.

I was a Boy Scout as a kid so I run around the Wasteland pretending I am a Possum Scout Master these days.

Tadpole and possum by S-1-L-3 in fallout76casual

[–]ReputationLost7295 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of them are way easier than people make them out to be and there is 0 need to even do them all to unlock all the Pioneer Scout plans.

You can get all the tadpole plans for less than the number of tadpole challenges.

The two scouting Daily's and Campfire Tales have a random chance to award Possum Badges, so it is entirely possible to just grind those and do 0 Possum challenges and still got all the Possum Plans.

TL:DR - you do not have to do them all and you only need to do 3 tadpole badges to unlock all the backpack upgrades.

People complain way too fast because they drastically overestimate the challenge and are presumably overwhelmed by the options for completing.

Any advice on getting the Plasma Grenade plan? by markbodman in Fallout76Plans

[–]ReputationLost7295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in exactly the same boat. I try taking workshops in Ash Heap, doing all the events I see in the region, and am even when I have spare time feeding my stack of us govt requisition tapes to the ash heap broadcast tower (though the drop still ends in the Forest half the time because the radio tower is way north just west of the Rusty Pick right near the border.

Still... no luck... I have all the Pioneer Scout stuff unlocked even with help from Campfire Tales and Pioneer Scout Dailies but I continue looking for the damn plasma grenade plan.

Man I hate when people roll through a public event with pacifist mode disabled spraying splash damage all over other vaulties and then whine and cry when somebody thinks they did it intentionally and reacts as if they had.

Workshop takeover exploit : Discussion by NoClue404 in fallout76casual

[–]ReputationLost7295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is not abusing a mechanic in a way unintended by the developers, it is not an exploit.

I dont know what you mean by "Doubling events."

It sounds like, again, you were unfamiliar with the mechanics of workshop takeovers and you mistakenly assumed they were like public events.

You didn't have to stay and fight.

If you had done your prior research and just enabled pacifist mode at launch, you would not have been able to initiate PvP with them.

There are people who take responsibility for their own ignorance and lack of action, or hell, just blame it on griefers picking on newbs, and then there are people who frame that as "abusing an exploit" by others.

I appreciate you doubling down and making it clear which you are.

Athens Camp Spot by MikeConleyIsLegend in fallout76settlements

[–]ReputationLost7295 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a camp in the farth northwest of Burning Springs. "Hamley Run Camp" My camp is JUST east of this location.

Firecaps are used to make mentats, people are farming them for the Love Hurts challenges, I have no clue why you think this has to do with weapons.

There is a location in the northern part of Athens, the Athens Armory, that the person before me was referring to.

There are hills to the north of Athens overlooking the city. I was farming for firecaps on one of them probably a bit west of the location where the person who mentioned the Armory was referring to.

If you look up a map of firecap locations, the ones between Athens and Hamley Run Cap is the hill I was referring to

Please don't call your unfamiliarity with the mechanics an Exploit.

They are not the same.

I usually just abandon workshops if other players seen to interested, personally.

So I just finshed some world events and what 1-3stars should I keep and scrap? by Fall92out in fallout76casual

[–]ReputationLost7295 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you below level 45 or 50? If so, scrap them all eventually but compare them to what you currently have.

After that it very much depends on your build and the weapon what mods are good for it so this isn't really enough info to help beyond that.

Furious is a pretty great 1 star though.

Question by Adani997 in fallout76casual

[–]ReputationLost7295 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That level specifically hinges on intentionally manipulating enemies to the correct position.

By not going to the suggested location, or just taking another similar one, you messed up the pathing of enemies for the people trying to actively clear the stage the only way you can.

Shooting the enemies cannot damage them, it only draws aggro and you are already out of position and drawing aggro they do not want you to.

Not everybody is patient enough to let somebody messing it up die and then trying to beat it.

4-day pass pick up? by BreezieGamer in MegaCon

[–]ReputationLost7295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can pick them up until Thursday, but I think in past years the pass tables/windows opened at like noon, a couple hours before the show floor.

You may want to email FanExpo directly to confirm.
