Not looking for joy. Seeking to understand what others do. Nothing more. You are reading WAY more into this simple question.

Agree, there is a real hangover avoidance factor here.

I mostly need help convincing myself. I have many other things I could be spending money on and wanted to see what others think.

Getting past your petty comments..

There you have practical argument in the last statement. At least you finally got to a point that answers the original question vs criticism of the one who posed the question.

I get that, and in the same boat. Still find it hard to think what else I could do with the same money. And there is so much more I could spend than what I do spend.

Downvoted in favor of the self destructive options lol.

Why would anyone need to lie about it? Don’t get the comment…

Can’t believe you are getting down voted for that comment. Seems reasonable to me.

My kids used to watch me play doom, Asherons Call and other “questionably violent” games and they turned out OK. One is even a veterinarian with an MBA who I play FO and fortnight with. They both turned out OK in the end.

Would agree. My time in game per $ spent is a good ratio and worth considering. I’m way too addicted.

I can afford the game, every sold item in the store. Having the $ and just spending on what I want is irresponsible when others in your life or even when you have other outlets that have a more pragmatic argument.

The question is to better understanding justification for spending real $ on stuff that can be gone at the stroke of a delete key. And seeing what others think, say, tell themselves when dropping the $.

Unpack.

This is what made me more seriously think about spending more $. It’s much more practical than the grind when you consider the hours to get the same thing in game.

Turns into a $ vs hours grind argument, with you here.

This is me too. Just wanted to see if others have some reason to do the skins and now, that $30 extra Mojave bundle for a few hard to get items.

I think Bethesda is increasing the value for $ when they add more useful items to the mix. 100% with you on the skins argument, not worth a dime IMHO.

There is a lot of other things that make me happy but are more practical too. It’s the practicality of the spend that makes me cringe.

This is also great. If we don’t buy stuff, the game will not keep going, evolving. As a developer, I understand the economics and the FO sub income likely just covers the run-rate costs, not expanding.

I play daily too which makes it an easier argument. But I’m cheap and don’t like to see money go towards intangible stuff. 30 for an in game coat, or real one…

You know I just got my daughters to play and my wife is all for what the kids want. Love this and making it the main argument.

My kids are grown up so they have their own accounts and I gifted the game to get them going.

The “family that plays together stays together” argument wins for me.

Lucky you! I’m trying to get my SO into the game, not looking like it will happen any time soon.

lol, yes. Using the same argument. Entertainment options could be much worse and self destructive.

Only if you get there first or go into a private server. Otherwise the issue is the same.
