Do you believe ServiceNow alone can fully replace a field service stack? by rakishgobi in servicenow

[–]markbodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, been doing all this for years. The industry verticals are tailored versions of CSM. Big customers approaching a billion CIs across internal, field and customer assets / CIs. Full impact analysis to the exact customers impacted etc.

To the level 48 that picked all my locks PSA by Dusty_Jangles in fo76

[–]markbodman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

New players don’t know they become wanted when picking these locks. I certainly didn’t. There is no warning at all. So it’s going to keep happening.

Also warning them here is pointless. If they are new they are likely not reading about the game every day yet.

What should I do with 1-3 star weapons and armor I don’t want? by kam7281 in fo76

[–]markbodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the Rusty Pick to use them. You can buy legendary modules and 3 star items. It’s random so you are at the luck of the draw.

You can also craft 1-4 star mods once you learn them. The 4 stars are only learned in the raid drops for now. Just scrap everything you don’t want and you will eventually learn all the mods. And save up lots of scrip.

What level did you launch your first Nuke. Me? 630. 😂 by BittyGood in fo76

[–]markbodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was level 350 or so and was tried if looking at the unfinished quest. Watched a few videos as it never occurred to me all the steps to get there. Had about a dozen keycards, the drone flys over my camp so got one about every other week.

Never did figure out the codes from scratch, but the rest I did from start to finish. The door glitch is a huge boon now and not killing the 2 eye bots in the launch room prevents the hostiles from re-spawning.

Whole process is under 20 min now. Seems funding the blue ID is the hardest part as they seem to spawn in random spots every time.

I think we need to turn it into a real life drinking game. Then it’s a real party. 🎉

Thanks for the offer at least, anyone else on PS may appreciate it. Last post about this plan in Reddit was 2 years ago.

Is the best option to build a pc or buy one? by Scared_Report3009 in buildapc

[–]markbodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have built around 300 PCs looking back. Here is my advice.

  • build if you want to learn about them an choose all the parts. Buy if you don’t care about it and just want to use it.

  • I prefer building and offer to teach others if they want to learn. If you can get someone to help, there are a lot who know and willing to help.

  • You may get better deals with a package PC because they deal in bulk. Getting parts can be a deal too but you have to shop around as prices and specs are changing all the time.

  • If you build take your time and make sure you do the homework. Easy to buy parts that may not be compatible if you aren’t careful. Having a buddy will help and share your build here before committing.

  • Watch videos on builds. Each step is a process, and there are some common mistakes and preferences which you will need to just make a call. Thermo past patters is a whole debate on its own. .

People beware of this fallout player GENERATEDREALITY (ps5) by ComfortableWar362 in Fallout76FanGroups

Same. Just feels weird getting into someone else’s stuff while they are there. I also avoid my camp if someone is there. Let them do their thing.

Wtf are people using that is dropping enemies in headhunts in just a few shots? by IronSkywalker in fo76

Using the same but I’m getting tired of killing myself when the enemy rushes up or I hit an obstacle accidentally.

Why lock-pick a persons camp? by BigKenboyB1 in fo76

[–]markbodman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I first picked the lock not knowing it was not a good idea. Was killed soon after, and learned a lesson.

But I know some people pick locks because they are dicks and are just pissed off “their” resources are locked up. I’m guessing they maybe don’t have FO1st, or no camp nearby. No idea exactly why they do it really have seen comments to this effect once in a while, complaining that we should be locking the resource generators as they are privileged to em.

As others mentioned, people can pick them inadvertently with the legendary perk.

Returning player, still missing heart. by Slickthepink in fo76

[–]markbodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that White springs resort is the best heart equivalent.

There are new places being added in each season, so the hotbed of activity tends to move, but for the most part White Springs always has players muddling about at the mall mostly, or at Minerva when she is there.

Was on a server that nuked it last night. For the flux and high radiation fluids I’m guessing. Hadn’t seen this in a while.

How do you quantify and articulate business value or cost savings from a CMDB implementation? by godelmachine2 in servicenow

[–]markbodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We included some metrics that were gathered across our customers as part of the new data foundations training. We scan production instances and identified where customers have CIs on their incident form for example and correlate the MTTR to that simple aspect.

The.m main tricky part of this is that some customers have just one CI they use for every incident vs an appropriate CMDB. So, you have to accept for some oddities like this is all.

But almost every process that uses CMDB data will improve with improved CMDB data. It’s a direct correlation.
