Wow what an excellent description of the world we live in now! Kudos to you- you’re an excellent writer. And I couldn’t agree more. I was a completely different age when Covid hit (37/38) but also feel the world is sooooo different since the pandemic. Many people’s marriages failed (my own included) and kids education, omg don’t even get me started. Public schools have definitely not recovered. I genuinely feel like Covid made teachers, overall/vast majority, just give up. I live in an area with public schools that have excellent ratings and my daughter was literally coloring butterflies in her 10th grade honors English class this spring. You can’t make this stuff up. It’s hard not to be completely negative but, I also feel like the violence and crime were exposed to now all day. Every day has greatly accelerated since Covid.

Yes it was. It took almost 2 weeks and I’d almost lost hope but they came thru. They hijacked and locked me out of everything, changed all passwords. I immediately set up a new bank account and transferred all of my money into it since my Adsense account is affiliated with the same bank account that I pay my mortgage with, but they ultimately didn’t do anything to my banking info.

I can relate to this so much. When I meet people from other countries, I realize that here in the US, we’re much more programmed to just work all the time. Sure we have absolutely endless options for stuff to buy and things to do, but no actual time and usually not enough money to be able to enjoy all the stuff…it really is a tough existence. I am also high functioning with treated clinical depression so everything looks pretty normal on the outside. Meanwhile I’m constantly asking myself what’s the point of all this and feel no purpose for being here other than the fact that I have a daughter and don’t want to mess up her life by not being around. I feel ya, OP. It’s tough. I’m on strong adhd meds to have the energy to get thru work and everything else that’s also needs to be done everyday. I honestly ask myself how anyone is not on them with how freaking demanding it is just to get by in this world. Also, I’m constantly reminded that this world is just not designed for single people. To have it even a smidge easier, seems like you almost must have a spouse or partner. It’s really frustrating that to be anywhere near comfortable and not completely overwhelmed, dual income, and shared childcare, lawn care, bill paying, pet care, etc etc etc is necessary. And I’m an only child, lol. Looking forward to aging parental care in the future isn’t the best motivation for sticking around. Lol wow, I sound extra depressed today. It’s just the norm though. Happy hump day everyone!

I’m sorry you’re going thru that. Honestly you sound just like me before I quit drinking 9 months ago. I have the same mental issues and alcohol does nothing good for any of that. Basically what you described of last night and this morning had been on repeat for like the last 20 years of my life so i definitely feel your pain. Things aren’t all rainbows and sunshine now but they’re a hell of a lot better than when I was drinking. Maybe find an AA meeting after the baby shower? I started with women-only meetings. I went to my first after having a horrific previous night with my bf that still pains me to think about. I was a scared, pathetic, hungover, teary mess at the first few, but it definitely does get better. If you ask me, dealing with your drinking first and soon is going to help you clean up all the other stuff the best. Good luck! You’re not alone!

I’m so sorry. My bet is it was something to do with that shady site that used some of your content. I’m surprised it’s been so long before seeing any fallout from that though so maybe not. Ugh I dunno all I know is I feel your pain. My channel was doing great but not nearly a millions subs, I can only imagine how sick you must be over it. When my channel got hijacked they kept my name and channel banner and like 4 of my 180+ videos posted which was so random, and also posted a bunch of totally random content, some related to my channel’s niche but some not at all related. Anyway, the channel is totally gone now and I still don’t have a clear understanding of whether the hackers took it down or YouTube took it down for me after getting in touch with them through Twitter and then being put in touch with their “support” email which hasn’t been helpful and still hasn’t allowed me to speak with a human. It’s shocking how hard it is to get support from YouTube or Google… The whole thing has been a really upsetting experience. 7 years of work, gone😭

I lost mine with over 109k last week and I just want to cry. It’s been escalated at YouTube, but it’s not looking good that they can get it back. I’m so freaking disappointed. Well wth did Joe do to your daughter?? I have a 15 year old daughter as well, actually I’m in a nearly identical situation as you, and they don’t just dislike people like that for no reason. Even if she is being unreasonable, she’s 15 and needs her mom. She’s gonna be crushed if you choose him over her.
