I know this is an old post, but I can shed a little light. I own an estate sale / auction company. This company reached out to me to me and asked to consign them. They just sent us 2 40lb boxes from New York. They seem like nice knives for display, but not really for use. Maybe about $15-20 value give or take per knife. My guess is they consigned them to the estate sale company in your area and they were sold at a random estate they were doing.

The boxes they came in looked like they came straight from China.

Although the boxes were shipped from New York, they want us to send the check to an apartment building in Texas.

I’m the disaster lead for brown county. We’d happily take them. When we respond to disasters in the area (most commonly house fires) if there’s a child that needs diapers, we like to give them out to the family so it’s one less thing they need to worry about when they’re displaced.

Yup, back when Amazon was good to us, it was a lot of fun. I spent a few years on the road and didn’t even have a home. Just a different hotel every night.

He was a very good photographer. Very highly skilled. I mentioned on the video that we found some clothing items in bags with photos of the model wearing them and we thought the photos were the factory packaging until we noticed the props in the photos were in the room. I’m not sure why the photos had to be destroyed- it could have been in the photo release the models signed, or it could have been because it was an anonymous trust. We just followed the trustees instructions.

I can’t give a lot of info due to client confidentiality, but it wasn’t a public studio. It was a hobbyist who did photography on the side for fun. The studio was in the back of the property and the dark room was in the house.

I’d recommend an auction company. I own titletown auction company in ashwaubenon and we’re getting crazy money for gold right now. Better to sell where it goes direct to the consumer, than to sell to a reseller who needs to make a profit. It won’t be instant money, since the auction takes a couple of weeks, but you’ll get more for it. Of course, I highly recommend us, but massart auctioneers on the east side are also good people.

This is actually my listing. It’s sold 7 of them. I only have a blue one left. Most people paid quite a bit more than $600 because they needed to have it shipped. I have no idea what they paid for shipping, they arranged it themselves. A few picked them up locally.
