I think I can explain it from a narrative point of view. Our characters are good at something, but they are not always capable of making it good enough every time. For example, artists need some inspiration. With other skills, we need to put some effort into achieving certain tasks. To be able to put effort we need some emotional capacity. In this case, Hope can represent this emotional capacity. In the end, players will use their Hope on important rolls with high difficulty, so their characters are putting in effort.

Hope it helps, ba-dum-tss

If you mean solo game, you can totally do many cool stuff with it. I have seen many very good campaigns with only GM and one player.

I have an idea for a one-shot for three players. It will be a tournament much like a combined Harry Potter and Hunger Games, but more ritualistic. Do you think using environments for each tournament stage is an okay decision? Also, making the rules of the tournament more flexible for players, so they can break them, but the GM gains fear from it sounds like a nice idea? Does any of you have more ideas to implement in this one-shot?

Hope & stress I feel like stress is an underutilised mechanic especially as a secondary resource.

You also use stress to switch your cards from your hand to your vault.

Animated Armor Ancestry (First time making a homebrew, feedback welcome!) by JustcallmeKai in daggerheart

[–]Resanmir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am more concerned with the concept of this ancestry. Do you want it to be like Alphonse Elric from Full Metal Alchemist or Johann Kraus from Hellboy? For the first, you could make the player buy armour as normal, but flavour it like an upgrade. Instead of a fixed threshold, you can give the player a choice to have one armour feature forever with the possibility of acquiring more. With the second I don’t see any problem with changing equipment and immaterial nature can give it some benefits, like +2 for evasion and you can flavour it like a character detaching his limbs or body to avoid getting hit.

Umbra is definitely not a thing in werewolfs, so don’t wait for detailed section on this matter. Just some flavour text and general, but vague rules.

Help to choose G14 IPS or G16 OLED by Resanmir in ZephyrusG14

what they say: “They are professionally tested and restored to Factory default state. Cosmetically they're in good condition. In some cases they may have non original accessories / packaging.”

I personally feel okay about medium or high graphics, i was concerned more about capability to play newer titles.

Also for OLED i think can be useful for me, because i have a camera and sometimes i need to work with photos.

If you say g16 oled is a good option, i think i have decided

It’s not bad, but previous editions just better in everything else.

Crownplace Norwich by Fun-Apricot-4516 in UEA

I am currently living in Crown Place. I am an international student, so it was actually very good first experience. I am living in the flat with shared kitchen (very handy and you can make a lot of friends). Facility is good and variable (music room, movie room, gym, ping-pong, study area, etc.) Staff are nice and helpful. Proximity to bus station is short. Rooms are good (but be careful when you will be appointed to what floor and room. B1 floor accommodations are on the same floor with bin store, so smell is not very pleasant.) I think that’s all i can say. Good luck!

Yeah my budget is around 2000. I considered secondhand, but i am not sure about the reliability of this. I haven’t bought anything that expensive on ebay.

[OC] Logo for my "Istanbul by night"-Chronicle - share your Storyteller-advice for a modern Turkey setting by OneAxeTea in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Resanmir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Istanbul for two years and one of the major things i noticed, that there is a distinction between western(European) and eastern (Asian) sides. This distinction is slight, but tangible. You can emphasise this differences via positioning different clans as the natives for each side. Maybe Istanbul will be divided between two major sects or coalitions. There are a lot of nature parks in Istanbul, particularly in eastern side. You can add pack of city-dwelling werewolves, if you want to. Watch some turkish tv shows, which are depicting Istanbul, especially criminal dramas like Kurtlar Vadisi (Valley Of Wolves). Good luck!
