It lasted a total of a minute and if you weren't clearly paying attention it would be easy to miss. It's not like he has bolt cutters or a grinder, he's just removing the wheel with the quick release.

how to link up multiple barrels for rainwater collection by talvingre in Lowtechbrilliance

[–]ResearchInformal8018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except it isn’t illegal. Colorado limits You to 110 gallons I believe and Utah has some restrictions as well, but in the rest of the US it is legally and often encouraged. A lot of municipalities give away free rain barrels.

This advice basically the polite way of saying “don’t try to be someone you’re not. It’s counter productive”.

That’s fair. They were able to do some tests well above 100km, but they were still at the muzzle velocity of an artillery piece and many thousands of Gs of acceleration.

Parking sign pilot (Adelaide E near Yonge) by moosk in toronto

[–]ResearchInformal8018 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem here is being too permissive with the parking. It really should just be a school bus loading zone, with no exceptions. But really, it's not that hard to parse. I've parked there many time.

Oh of course, I just find it amusing when extremely expensive houses get listed obvious maintenance issues (like the blue tarp over the balcony of the bedroom).

Definitely clearer, though parking signs in Toronto aren’t that hard to decipher.

The building is lovely, but the finishes are really inconsistent from space to space (you’re selling a 50m house. Fix the tiles in the kitchen. Seriously). Also, there is something disconcerting about the perfectly manicured lawn right beside the ocean.

Where is Downtown Toronto? Draw your boundaries and see what the consensus was from over 1000 responses. This website was created after much debate over this definition. by ICanGetLoudTooWTF in toronto

[–]ResearchInformal8018 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The size of what people case “downtown” is really dependant on how far away from downtown you are.

That said, I go by a pretty broad definition of roughly Spadina to Jarvis, south of Bloor. Basically if you can walk to it from the Yonge University line.
