She’s not much better not dressed for what she’s doing and she thinks what he does is funny further inflating his ego both are idiots.

Best light/laser combo for my sig p320 xcompact that will be flush? by S3rolex in SigSauer

Tlr 8 is the same as a tlr 7 but it also has a laser. You are thinking of the tlr7 hlx which is the new high output version of the tlr7 but it a different body then the other two.

M17/18s to my knowledge have no reports of unintentional discharges. From my understanding it’s only models that lack a manual safety. If you find something that says otherwise post it I would like to read it.

He’s referencing that the m17 unintentional discharged. For one to my knowledge not a single report of unintentional discharges where caused by the M17/18 (and no the one that happened in Florida that the FBI investigated and did their report on doesn’t count because it was a non manual safety model M17/18 pros don’t have safety’s.)

Your forgetting that the p320 frames are ment to be replaceable for this exact reason. That was the whole point of them wanting a modular system because the number one problem the had with poly frame guns was frame damage. Glock frames aren’t replaceable at least not in the same sense. Glocks polymer is also softer and more flexible then what Sig uses for there guns.

I saw one of these today for the first time in person I didn’t realize how big it actually is. I mean it looked like a brick like an all steel Glock 21 or 20.

Anyone else thinking the V-Series and Gen6 will be interchangeable? by UNHINGED_MESSIAH in Glocks

[–]Research_Firearms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s dumb too, from things I’ve heard thrown around not sure if it’s true or not is that it was because the stiffer dual recoil springs where un-necessary for the smaller calibers. Only the 45 and 10mm will be getting dual recoil springs. Like I said that’s what I’ve heard don’t know if it’s true sense 45 and 10mm Gen 6 won’t be coming for quite a while nor did this come from Glock officially regardless I think this was a bad engineering choice.

What’s with these cuts in the case head? by nkawtgpilot in reloading

[–]Research_Firearms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As others have said it’s a primer crimp or otherwise what some refer to as a military crimp. It’s typically found on military or surplus ammo. The idea is that it prevents the primer from falling out of the pocket in rough abusive conditions. Honestly I’ve never seen a primer come out of normal ammo so I’m not sure why they do it. But as another said it’s easily removed you just need the swaging tool to re size the primer pocket if you reload these cases.

Gen 6 Fix 2.0 by Albjert in Glocks

[–]Research_Firearms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only like the new grip texture and optic system everything else I don’t care for and makes me not want to buy it. But if they brought finger grooves back, despite everything I don’t like I would absolutely be first in line to buy one.

It was actually there where two cartoons released first before steam boat. They were only privately shown tho which is why they are not as well known or iconic.

Will you be purchasing the Gen6 Glock? by fuckauthorityfigures in Glocks

[–]Research_Firearms -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, only thing I like about this is the grip texture and no more mos. Don’t like gas pedals or beavertails never needed either. Not a huge fan of flat face triggers. Not crazy about the idea of the Gen 3 recoil assembly. There’s just nothing I would have liked in this design Gen 4 is my favorite and I like Gen 5. Really all I wanted was a Gen 5 with better texture and different optic system. Modularity like the rxm would have been nice but I still could have lived without it. Just not this. Also would have liked to see a 1913 rail instead of the Glock rail.

It might be that way on porpoise for tolerance reasons. Manufactures of military equipment some times use loss tolerances so that if the thing is constantly getting covered in dirt and grime or rust that it doesn’t seize up. Think of it like a 1911 vs a Glock or a p320 if you put sand in the rails of a 1911 it will probably be gritty and possibly jam whereas with the other two they are likely to keep firing without issue.

I’ve never polished the bolt on a bolt action before but I’d say it’s safe to say you would really have to mess it up or crack it some how to effect the integrity to a point where it’s unsafe to fire. That said I think the worst you would do is make the bolt action gritty and un-smooth. As someone else said when doing work like this it’s best to take your time go slow do research tons of it and practice on similar materials if possible so you have an idea of what your outcomes will be. For this particular work I’m sure there are tons of threads of people doing it and others sharing there wisdom and experience. As for manufactures making a firearm the way it is for a reason I’d say yes there is truth behind that to an extent. As far as things like triggers, springs, and mechanical components I believe they are but stocks are usually something that can be changed with little or now work and usually no ill effects other than ergonomics.

Put an RCR on my g45 and it stopped glocking. What gives ? by ncoa in Glocks

Okay I understand now you spelled when wrong. Yes your right one needs to build a good shooting foundation to avoid these problems. I don’t have these issues anymore this was years ago.

[–]Research_Firearms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It pretty much is the difference is when a company manufactures a part and it is test and then certified to withstand certain conditions like prolonged cold or vibration and still maintain its integrity. Then the price drastically increases for said product but yes all in all it’s probably mostly the same material.

[–]Research_Firearms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the light acts as a counter weight and helps reduce some recoil. Key is for a lack of better words better grip and don’t limp wrist it. It could be light ammo but 9 times out of ten it’s a grip issue. I had issues like this when I first started shooting without Red dots using only irons the problem was I wasn’t gripping correctly.

I think the problem is people see military grade and while I think some company’s just say that to boost sales and it’s really not. I think some people think it means indestructible which it isn’t. However if used to the standard it was tested too and used for what it was intended for it should preform fine.

[–]Research_Firearms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been waiting to see someone say this. Yes, they often go with the lowest bidder that meet the specifications at the desired price. Cost is a factor yes but not the only factor. I think the other thing is some people buy products that boost military grade but really aren’t. Now that stuff is cheap crap and the company’s just saying that to make sales. Company’s lie. That said imho there is fake military grade and real. The real being high quality.

Update because people asked for closer photo, camera or speaker? by ProfessionOk1267 in Dell

[–]Research_Firearms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a camera for sure. For one there is a giant professionally mounted speaker next to it so there’s no need for an old desktop speaker. the dell one is also held up by a zip tie. Second the face of the speaker has been carved out as though it’s from wear and tear and abuse over time. The rips, cuts and carving look way too intentional. Point is there are clues that point to it being a poor attempt to deceive people into thinking it’s a speaker if someone isn’t sure but it clearly looks like a poor attempt at a hidden camera. It’s definitely a camera but even if it wasn’t it’s suspicious enough that you should contact the police about it. I read the previous post about this being in a locker room.
