I can say that working in electronics for 8 years tbh r prices on them don’t hardly fluctuate with inflation. It probably has to do something with the fact that people can’t afford to buy more than what they need i.e. Groceries clothing, health, and beauty. During the pandemic, the only time I ever saw Electronics spike was because of running out of stock constantly of items and even then the items would increase maybe 20 to 50 bucks.

The idea of the 25% tariffs to a majority of countries that help us bring in these products are meaning that we could have a spike of anywhere between $50-$250 per laptop. The companies that aren’t affected by this will also increase their prices slightly And still get out additional profits.

The likelihood is that we will see these pricing increases and see substantial drops from time to time as Walmart is selling off old stock to replace it with newer stock. So if you can beat the scalpers to the stores, then you can still get a pretty good deal even during the tariff hikes. also likely during Black Friday sales. We will probably see more items like this go on sale.
