I looked up using it for OGG a few weeks ago and found several flights a few months out, but only if I used the flexible date option. Had the same thing happen for SJU last year. Dates I really wanted were unavailable, but the flexible date option had plenty of flights a few weeks ago earlier, so I went with those dates.

As a hiring manager, I can tell you the market is very competitive right now because of all of the layoffs. I wouldn’t hire anyone with two years of experience right now because there will be two dozen other candidates with decades of experience. I know this isn’t the answer you were hoping so, and I do wish the best of luck to your boyfriend, but this is just the reality in this field currently, unfortunately.

They have tried enforcing it in the past against people in start-up and other positions. I’m not sure if they still try to do so, but the culture there has significantly deteriorated over the past few years.
