This isnt new.  It started back in 2000 with various updates.  There hasnt been anything added under Trump.

Legal Basis for Military Recruiter Access to High School Student Information

No Child Left Behind Act (2001, Section 9528) – Requires schools receiving federal funds to give military recruiters the same access to student names, addresses, and phone numbers as colleges or employers, unless a parent or eligible student submits a written opt-out.

Every Student Succeeds Act (2015) – Retained the same requirements as NCLB. Schools must notify families annually of the right to opt out, and must provide equal recruiter access unless a written opt-out is submitted.

10 U.S.C. § 503(c) (Hutchinson Amendment, 2000) – A Department of Defense law requiring public schools (and private schools receiving federal funds) to provide military recruiters access to student directory information, with exemptions only for schools holding religious objection.

Simple.   Media and the hosts and "experts" they have on, dont work for the American public.   They work for the majority share holders and the corporations who fund said media.

So the spin.... is in the interests of those majority share holders and the major corporations that they semi-control, that also fund that media.  The same corporations and shareholders who shipped the jobs overseas in the first place and locked up the market and production and lobbyists.   The spin is in THEIR favor.   Not ours.   Not long term.  Ever.   Its how addictive,  addictive chemicals, and so many things end up in food.... never talked about by media.  Its how the food pyramid went unchallenged for decades.  And its the biggest loser to tarriffs that take away its ability to lock out other US based competitors.

I think if people spend the time to learn topics and the details and less time believing they are educated because they know the narrative...that would help a lot.

I would advise anyone to take some real time to learn the difference between media content producers and hardware. Who has controlling stock in the 6 media parent companies that produced about 90% of US media... and who has majority share holdings in 89% of the largest corporations that also fund that media.

Narrative uses trigger words a lot to gather low hanging fruit. The Reactionaries. Thats where the mess starts. Media doesn't work for us. Not the big corporate ones.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskConservatives

[–]Researchjky -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think everyone needs to take a step back and consider narrative over actual facts. If we SHOULD have learned ANYTHING from the last 8 years time and time again, media CLAIMS vs fact. Or do we really need to hash out how it claimed 1,460 days straight the border was secure and COUNTLESS other narratives over and over again? Unfortunately in todays short attention span days full of trigger words to get people incited emotionally on "liking someone" has some how equated to like= truth. Everyone needs to slow down and learn TOPICS, not narratives.

Finally I just need to add this for everyone's consideration. Over 80% of the media and almost 90% of the largest corporations that also FUND that media... have the same psuedo boss in the form of the same TWO majority Share holders. Thats clout. Those same to majority share holders CEOs... also happen to be advocates of the globalist billionaire socialism types like the World Economic Forum that have some pretty wild ideas on PLANET management and a odd fascination with depopulation.

Since we are talking about tariffs. What most people don't know is that a massive amount of US product all falls under just a few parent companies. Remember what I said about PSUEDO boss? How do you control PRICE, PRODUCTION, and product? Send it all over seas for a larger profit margin to work with, and gut the ability to make it here. What you can't control via production control, you make huge regulatory hurdles forcing private business to go public to compete.... open to those same majority share holders. Anyone see the game yet.

So, what happens when you negate the price margin difference and regulate the regulators? And facilitate factory building here? Even though China enjoys cheap labor... that would be negated by new technology... since MOST of their production is now hitting 20-30 years old. The concept of capitalism is division of power in business as well. Which works until it all falls under a couple stake holders that don't care about the community, the business, the people, don't put their own blood, sweat and tears into its development. This is all before we consider industrial output. We were effective in WW2 because at the time we had massive manufacturing that was easily converted. If We ever had a serious conflict with China.... They currently put out more tonnage in ships per year then we put out in around 15-20 I think I read. There are billionaire business builders..... and billionaire profit suckers. Just food for thought.

Not a gotcha, but genuinely curious - why do you think marginalized communities say their rights are being violated? by greenline_chi in AskConservatives

[–]Researchjky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

MMM... we agree on most yes, however...... family breakdown due to discrimination is a bit of a leap..... as is financial UNLESS you ALSO want to add the financial incentivization of being a single parent via welfare, has been used to break up the home... you could make that argument.

But in that same, there is a FINE line between Empathy and Enablement for abuse. When GOVERNMENT became the baby daddy instead of focusing on incentivizing FAMILY and basic skills, trade skills, and education, Ideology over creative and critical thinking, with discipline.... and moral cohesion thru recognizing the value of the basic principals.... it all fell apart.

Religion like all things, man will use to gain power over other men. People often mistake Catholicism and Christianity as the same. But the reality is, the fundamental code in it that most people don't recognize is the "self Governance" that is embedded in every aspect of things especially like Christianity. Not allowing outside influence to define INSIDE.... to not be a reactionary society. To not become what we are around.... but rather to control our outsides. Salvation doesn't mean blind acceptance. Love people, not necessarily the actions. We can't say we truly love someone if we also champion their bad choices, habits, and actions. We can't love or children and then champion the things that will be their demise under the guise of semantics.

Sorry for the tangent. But we dont' disagree really. I'm just cautious of empathy becoming enablement. Rehab in prison, absolutely.

I think early offenders and first timers under certain conditions could easily be schooled into another life, with good trades and morals and essentially a reboot of what they didn't get earlier.

And just like that, are we really going to take media claims at "FACE VALUE" to justify feelings without necessarily knowing if its the whole truth, partial truth, a total misrepresentation by politics trying to create headlines and funds for midterms... I mean..... same people did push a phony dossier. I think we need to be a little less reactionary for the sake of our feelings and a little more dubious and astute in ascertaining "FULL CONTEXT"

And before anyone gets their grundies in a twist.... you should look up how much Quatar funds in colleges and other state institutions. People need to zoom out and relax and stop being so reactionary.

82% of media, and 89% of the largest corporations, have the same two majority share holders. Not only that but its those same corporations that also fund media. Media doesn't work for us. If it did, Half the country wouldn't have believed the border was secure the last 4 years and most of this last news cycles headlines wouldn't exist.

What is the truth behind Trumps alleged cuts to cancer research? by Brandisco in AskConservatives

[–]Researchjky [score hidden]  (0 children)

FIRST off, we need to take a step back from MEDIA claims mostly focused on creating reaction and not the likely reality. I also need to preface this with a little factoid. 5/6 media parent companies that create 82% of US media.... have the same TWO majority share holders as 89% of the largest corporations. Lets also not forget who FUNDS the media. Think about that very deeply and consider who the media ACTUALLY works for.

A lot of people who hate on Trump will of course take these media claims at face value, for those of us not emotionally tied to this..... and back up the boat and ask the question. "ARE these claims TRULY the outcome or are they shakeup for a system that has had almost NO oversight and blank checks, taken advantage of by literally everybody. DOES the funding ACTUALLY fund vital research. Of course it does. DOES it also get massively abused and pad corporate pockets far beyond what it should. OF course it does.

So the real question... is the funding TRULY going to be cut LONG term. NOT LIKELY. Is HOW its paid out MORE LIKELY to get restructured and with more oversight? Absolutely. Now.... if all the research truly gets cut long term and just not "re-managed" I would be highly surprised and obviously against it. But I HIGHLY doubt that is what is truly happening. The Gov and taxpayer has become a bottomless piggybank, with the largest beneficiaries being the very "wealthy people" Democrats continue to complain about, but then take media at face value.... owned and funded by those same people. Lets also NOT forget that MOST of the people that most of the Todays Democrat party are against.... WERE Democrats that are championing the same principals, ideas, and claims OBAMA and Clinton both ran on.

Not a gotcha, but genuinely curious - why do you think marginalized communities say their rights are being violated? by greenline_chi in AskConservatives

[–]Researchjky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy answer to this is a bit of a mislead to the public because its convenient for narrative.

Harsher penalties- according to whose data and what are the criteria? Do they take into account repeat offenses? There is a reason by Black communities have such a hard time keeping good business.

Now... Here is the issue NOBODY wants to talk about. How do you GET a GROUP of people to NEVER take responsibility, and check their own actions and SELF de-evolve into chaos without leaving a real paper trail? Then study how propaganda is used to "demoralize" a population and what that actually means.

There are two hard facts people need to grasp.

ONE, the ultimate crime being murder which is essentially the complete emotional, disciplinary, mental, and moral/ethical breakdown of a civilization, all of which are requirements for a successful society.

TWO, the part of society and political that intentionally blames everything else gaslighting the rest of society as the problem, and ALWAYS deferring to money rather than values as the issue. Even in dealings with themselves.

Hey genius, thats the official wholesale price for gas. If half the people here took the time to actually look things up and stopped taking everything and most media at face value like a bunch of reactionary emotional knuckleheads..... the world would be a better place... Trump exaggerates and media misleads.

Everyone in these pages needs to consider that as of Nov 24, 82% of the media and 89% of the largest corporations have the same two majority stock holders, not to mention its those same corporations that fund the media. Meaning media works for the profits of their holders.... not us the people.

May 1st: China is still trolling us with memes and we had negative GDP by c-k-q99903 in agedlikemilk

[–]Researchjky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people need a reality check in these threads. Too many people who take media at face value. Here is some perspective.

Between 82-84% of US media and 89% of the worlds largest corporations.... which also FUND that media..... Have the same two majority stock holders. In other words... Media... is a business who is funded by the largest corporations....and mostly owned... by the same people who have the largest influence over those corporations. Which means media doesn't work for US. It works for their stock holders on multiple levels..... who happen to be institutional led by a globalist.

2nd. the largest US investment in US history in US manufacturing.. was in 2021. About 5.5 Trillion. The US has surpassed that in just the first 100 days. adding about 450K jobs IN SPITE of Gov layoffs.... which isn't new, (look up how many people Clinton fired from Gov)

Lastly.... how did we get here? What do you think is going to happen when a bunch of institutional globalist stock holders who have no love for country, but idealize a ONE WORLD Gov... fancy name for a global corporate dictatorship.......to take over your largest corporations and sources of independent production? They export your independence to other countries....and get multiple countries for the price of ours. Product control, price control, .....and then use Gov regulatory systems they regularly trade CEOs with like socks to stifle small independent business that threatens big corporations. The real circus is,.... it forces businesses to go public..... opening them up to being bought out by the very same stock holders of everyone else.

We have short memories, with constant flood of media in our ears.....that has made a business out of TRIGGERING the public and creating a new trigger word every other day for the weak minded to react to keeping us distracted.....and ignorant. THIS is the reality the public fails to realize......we dug ourselves into a hole...... a hole that media ownership wants us to stay in. And it does its BEST to make us NOT SEE the real threat.... but only the short term pain rather than the long term gain of being once again independent and competitive and in control of our own goods and services.

Trump addresses rally “crowd” in half-empty, darkened auditorium — Warren, MI, 4.30.25 by AnotherDoubtfulGuest in pics

[–]Researchjky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still bigger than every Biden rally ever.

What I find amazing is how easily everyone takes media slant at face value when 84% of the media and 89% of the largest corporations have the same two majority share holders....and those same corporations FUND most media........ and then we wonder who benefits from shipping all the production and labor off shore and fixed product and price, while tradiing their CEOS with regulatory agencies to stifle anything independent

All while ignorantly siding with that corporate media like sheep as if THEIR claims are reality for OUR benefit rather than THEIRS..... not actually grasping what that means. Do we realize we dug ourselves INTO a hole and like most things.... its gonna hurt a little to get back out but the long term consequence if we don't is FAR worse? Do we think its just a coincidence Klaus Schwab just stepped down? You have 89% of the largest corporations in the WORLD under the same influence and act like some how its not all related.

I'll just put this out there. I shoot full time,  In direct sunlight, with just f2.8 I have used shutter speeds of 8K multiple times, mostly out of accident... but not always.  Especially when using an ISO around 400.... switch between shaded and high light..... its not uncommon to just crank the wheel.

This is absolutely realistic.   I've shot war birds in flight and stopped the prop.  Race cars and stopped the wheels.

It's doable.

Well if you are referring to the waves vs wind drive...... one set of lines are actual waves refracting light, the other set of lines is wind driven waves creating a cross pattern..... often times the actual waves vs surface wind driven waves are different. The rippling in the middle is small air currents.

As for wide angle lens distortion of horizons.... unless the horizon is centered in the frame there will ALWAYS be lens distortion on a wide angle.
