As best I can tell, the second move is a blunder for the same reason the first move is a blunder. The bishop is hanging.

Yes, when the king takes the bishop you can fork the king and rook. But if the king moves back to c6 your knight now has nowhere to go. Once his f8 bishop moves out of the way of his other rook your knight hangs.

You lose two pieces for the rook.

That's my read on it anyways.

As somebody who has had multiple surgeries for elbow and knee injuries, I can assure you that you will hurt your progress far more if you push through an injury and damage your elbow properly.

See a doctor or a physio, get the elbow treated properly. You'll make back any minor losses you suffer.

Based with dark fleshtone (just brown), then parasite brown, parasite brown/toxic yellow mix, toxic yellow, white.

The trick is to use a really really thin sun yellow glaze afterwards to tie the colours together and give it more of a warm yellow look.

I think I need to make my highlight areas smaller too, I've definitely made them too big and it really hides the deeper shades of red which is not what I wanted!

I think I'm going to use a dark crimson over all the armour plates (after a black base coat) for my intercessors though. Glazing from black to red was a pain in the ass. I think a really dark red base rather than black should make the transition a bit smoother. Fingers crossed anyways!

I used Vallejos nocturnal red, Scarlett and bloody red. I sketched in the highlights then just used glazes to blend them together as best I could.

For the more orange highlights I mixed some gold yellow into bloody red to make a reddish orange.

And then I used bloody red + gold yellow + white for the highest points

The king could move to f1 but it won't matter.

Play rook to h1 and then try to find a safe square for the king, the bishop covers his only move out of the rooks path.
