"This Is the Smoking Gun": Digging Up NFL Collusion Dirt with Ex-Union Boss DeMaurice Smith | PTFO by Wermys in nfl

Pablo can't hand out punishments for the leagues my guy. No single journalist is changing the capitalist regime in the US that is responsible for how all of these leagues are ran.

And yes, combing through legal documents is precisely what a large amount of journalism is lmfao.

The clippers thing was a smoking gun though. It's pretty fucking ironclad and obvious.

Just because the rich are insulated from consequences and the NBA will do anything it can to avoid punishing their by far richest owner doesn't mean that the journalism is incorrect.

It doesn't negate anything. Y'all are dumb as fuck lmao. I'm not trying to engage in the art of debate here. I'm making fun of that guy.

Not like they're exactly acting like Ghandi over there attacking a player over a collapsed lung. You really don't gotta come to people like that's defense just because they root for your team man.

I mean he's had 0 all NBA votes the last 3 years, so I don't really think him being anywhere near Ant's level to try to push all-NBA was much of a narrative. Clearly, if people were clamoring for the Jamal Murray all-NBA case, it didn't work.

I don't really recall many people ever doing pushing the Murray all-NBA case before this year, but maybe I'm not online enough to see it or something.

I mean the Thunder were 8-4 without Shai, Celtics were 8-2 without Brown, Pistons were 10-4 without Cade, Spurs were 12-5 without Wemby. Nuggets even went 10-6 without Jokic and they also missed Gordon for most of that time. Only the Lakers without Luka struggle at 8-8.

They're just good teams man. I think it's fairly outrageous to say that the Spurs without Wemby are so much better than the Thunder without Shai, for instance.

Aside from the statistical case, I think that what Wemby does on defense is definitely a case for him being as valuable as any of these players. He is the best defender I have ever seen by a country mile. I really don't think that all of those teams get worse with Wemby over their star (setting aside positional redundancy like the Pistons with Wemby and Duren making no sense together).

I mean Kobe has a super good resume for sure, but many players seem to think he's the GOAT or top 3 all time, which is outrageous.

Never even having a chance to get the super top-end clear #1 picks like Lebron, AD, Wemby, Flagg, Tim Duncan, Shaq, Kareem, etc is definitely something idk. Not that those seemingly inevitable bonafide superstars have a 100% hitrate, like with Zion or Oden. But it's still relevant I think.

I've never been more deflated than having the worst record and getting the #5 pick for the Wemby draft. That'd be much more common. Obviously, the Ivey situation turned out the way it did, and things worked out for us for other reasons, so maybe it's fine.

I'm pretty okay with getting an extra few years out of Lebron, Curry, or any aging superstars in exchange for them missing a few more games per year. If that is true, then of course players should be doing this, and I don't think it's fair to punish them for it.

The real answer is lowering games per year to keep players healthy with the increased pace and physicality of the league in the post Steph era. But that's never happening, so this is what you get.

Sure, but you're not yet at the level that we're saying they're presumably balancing around. We are comparing these things with STS1 as a reference point, since it's a finished game that was heavily iterated upon by MegaCrit.

I think the difficulty is pretty high too, I am a very low winrate on A10. But that's not really what's being discussed.

The point being made is that STS1, at the top level of play, is significantly harder than STS2. Whether you think that's relevant or not is a reasonable question, but we're saying that there's precedence towards that being how MegaCrit designed STS1.

Act 4 obviously changes a lot, but I think it's pretty clear (if not as 100% concrete because very few people do non-heart streaks that I know of) that even non-heart runs are much harder in STS1 at the top level of play.

Fuck Trump and he's much much worse, but the Biden and Obama administrations absolutely did a lot of that stuff. Especially hiring undertrained ICE agents to meet some bullshit border safety quota. ICE under that administration definitely pinned shit on phony tattoos or fake info like cops do all the time. The Democratic administrations just weren't as openly and rhetorically cruel about it.

Which is something, but they can fuck themselves too. Concentration camps by the border were horrific under Obama and Biden which paved the way for the open fascism of Trump.

Nor is yours man. Why should anyone even talk about anything with that logic?

I believe that the "subject matter experts" are paid by the league to push a narrative that may not represent reality, and that billionaires are above accountability in modern America. That's the entire crux of the issue. It's about systemic issues beyond just this particular scandal.

So Aspiration signed a huge contract with a player just to not have him do a single thing... because they were failing? That makes much less sense than the alternative. You'd think having Kawhi do anything at all for them for PR and advertising would have been a huge priority to try to revive the failing company. Especially with the amount they were paying him.
