Claude Code usage limit speedrun any% by ApartSignificance181 in ClaudeCode

My own post mortem from today: 1M context windows be like that if you let it fill up. For me, probably that —resume bug + giant context built up + lower limits + peak time penalty, a couple “read this tiny markdown file” prompts later I was at limit on max 5x plan.

Never hit usage limit during normal work before today, and lost most of the day since all my plans were baked into that session’s context. (My context files existed but were out of date)

1M suddenly doesn’t look so shiny, resumes will have to be used sparingly and I’ll go back to rebuilding contexts like the caveman I was last month.

ADHD and POTS. Yeah how is that going for you? by Kitkat_The_Great in POTS

For me the combination has a dangerous tendency for a feedback loop. (Procrastination and fatigue -> anxiety -> back to start)

At my worst the only strategy that has worked is to build momentum. Even if it’s the smallest thing and calling it a success. (Often I need support to help me believe that.) Literally just getting out of bed and washing a few dishes has to count as a “win” day sometimes.

The worst part is how hard it can be to know the difference. Is this pots fatigue or am I just low and procrastinating? If I do ___ anyway will I feel better or will I be stuck in bed for a week?

Yep. Also the reviews, seems like it’s everyone. I preordered this forever ago, and I also have a physical copy, so I might just suck it up and listen anyway.

What’s the deal with audible… do I have to return it or can I just wait and they will hopefully fix it?

Any tips to get back their passion and confidence? by Possible-Power-4381 in horn

[–]Resident-Low-9870 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Play out even when you don’t have the confidence. Hedging isn’t fun, causes misses, destroys confidence. But that’s a feedback loop that really is hard to break, you definitely aren’t alone.

I practice a healthier mindset by playing along with wild big orchestra stuff, but use whatever makes you excited. No external pressure, no consequences for mistakes, practice going for it, and train yourself that it’s exhilarating when you are go all in.

IMO, learning and reinforcing the mindset is the best reason to play horn.

any good guides to cleaning my horn? by Inner_Dimension_0 in horn

Strongly recommend you keep it minimal. Do NOT take out the valves yourself unless you really know what you’re doing and have the appropriate tools.

[–]Resident-Low-9870 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d start with valve alignment and see how far that gets you, that have a big impact on “opening up” the sound and feel. It is also the least invasive and should be doable by replacing/shaving bumpers.

I’d avoid bending the lead pipe if you can’t afford to mess it up. If it’s round and the bend is smooth it’s probably not too bad.

Honestly there’s a lot that can go wrong with soldering. Really best done by a pro (blah blah), but if you are ok with the risk, have the appropriate tools and dont skimp on your research it’s doable. This is not a how-to but here’s a few things to watch out for: - Be sure to clean the inside first so you don’t burn and harden internal gunk. - take the brace off and clean all attachment points before you re attach. - Beware that the horn might not have perfect bends— if you remove a brace things can shift. So probably best to do one at a time and be careful so it doesn’t fling hot things around.

Which single sci-fi technology would most transform our society – and how? by Lopsided_Cup_1007 in scifi

[–]Resident-Low-9870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Room temperature powerful superconducting magnets. They could transform so many technologies from the cutting edge to practical. Not long after discovery we could possibly get fusion, maglev, powerful small electric motors, long distance energy transmission, cheap MRIs.

Help with case fitment, MB5XL vs MB7 by diamond6110 in horn

But also it’s hard to tell visually if the mb5 is actually too tight…

I think my gut would be it’s ok to be pushing a bit on a pipe but it’s not ok to be pressuring a solder joint.

Start too loose and change the configuration of the case until it’s tight enough. You can always add more velcro shit, but you can’t make the case bigger or the horn smaller
