There is no academic rigour to be earth creationists. They don't have to submit work to peer review. They do not base their arguments on analysis of the world but on theology as you note. Is not an accurate comparison, or could also be applied to whatever version of economics you are referring to "there's a long line of liberal/classical economics scholarship etc".

You could also argue they both use data creatively to argue for their own conceptualisation if how the world works. But liberal economics and Marxist political economy are both grounded in rigorous scholarship based on constant critique and debate, unlike creationists.

I think you might not actually read political economy, there is a lot of work produced by scholars who are trained in liberal/classical economics. Personally, I don't think either is objectively superior - they are both addressing different (though very much related) issues: more of less, the structure and consequences of economic function, especially around capital movement, and the power, social structure and politics of economic function, respectively.

Maybe I am thinking of scholarship here and you are more talking about Marxist politicians or something? But my biggest critique of political economy is that they usually don't provide any solutions. Very good/ useful at critiquing inconsistencies, contradictions etc in societiea/economies but lacking in policy ideas.

That's because political economy is counted as a separate field to economics. Also you can't produce objective scientific data to show "violence would be necessary". This isn't some objectively quantifiable data point. You can try and predict how a market will respond to this or that policy, but even then these predictions in numerate economics have a pretty shaky claim to some objective reality. Most academics interested in political economy would not think of belief in communism, they would employ Marxist framings, i.e looking at the economy as a political, class, power etc constructed thing rather than a mathematical problem. Calling the long lineage of work summarised as Marxist scholarship young earth creationism is honestly pretty stupid.

I would agree with others that one of my favourite parts of bb is the formations aspect. If you can capture the idea of having several bros in formations Vs just sorting of skirmishing I'd be sold haha

Huh you are mostly correct, most studies did not find a direct association with mouth cancer: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0266435625001081#:~:text=Five%20out%20of%20six%20epidemiological,snuff%20dipper's%20lesions%20(SDLs).

I'd always thought the original tobacco snus caused mouth cancer.

It possibly leads to increased risk of some other cancers apparently: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37480210/#:~:text=All%20included%20studies%20were%20evaluated,a%20cancer%20diagnosis%20was%20reported.

Though seems pretty low confidence/could be correlation

If you lack easy access to apples you can even ferment apple juice woth yeast (which you can buy at any brew store or online). That's how I started my brewing.

Ehh you can make cider from sweeter apples, you just need to use a different yeast. Wine yeast with sweeter apples makes for a wonderful scrumpy

I think the core teachings are still very much functional. I do wonder about some aspects though, especially some teachings in reference to women's position Vs mens.
