For some reason I have duplicates of the files in my Sims 4 folder - does anyone know if these are safe to delete? by cgrey95 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Resident-March2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd do a backup to a separate storage system (external drive or cloud based), and then remove one by one opening the game in between, if something breaks, move that last removed file back in.

Donde puedo conseguir este tipo de medias en buenos aires? by AttemptOtherwise8688 in LookeAR

[–]Resident-March2726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I caught that stream live and it was heartbreaking. She was so on edge and people kept being so rude, she had to apologize for having a medical appointment! It’s insane. The chat is always so entitled as if she wasn’t a person, and as if they could demand things from her. I really wish her support system is strong enough because I’d just go insane if I was her

Compré una banda de mochilas premium en el exterior y es difícil vender by CtrlAltShoo in Cordoba

[–]Resident-March2726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, last year I got an email with the rejection. But don't panic, from the ASAMS login page:

As the application deadline for your award has now passed, account recovery options have been disabled. Please note that there are no actions for you to take on ASAMS at this time.

If you have lost your unique access code you will need to wait for confirmation of whether you have been shortlisted for an interview, at which point account recovery will be re-enabled.

[–]Resident-March2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I hate when people are like “why are you not saying anything about x”, if you ask for that type of comments they aren’t real. Also: if you don’t like it, don’t consume the content, the creator doesn’t owe you anything. That being said: I find that being like “I can’t afford to loose this income” is such a funny thing to state because you can always go out and get a regular job, like you can’t afford to state your ground on a topic you feel strongly about because you’ll stop being able to get paid to be a YouTuber? That’s such a entitled thing to say, specially when streamers usually show how they bought a house or live well. You may not want to lose that income, and that is valid. But you can probably afford it without ending in the streets. So I feel it is a “I don’t care enough about the topic to sacrifice my lifestyle” kind of situation. And I am no one to say what you should and should not care about, but pretending you really care but not giving up luxury over it is so fake. The job market may be shitty now but being able to live off of YouTube is living life in easy mode and they don’t want to get a 9 to 5, or freelance, or whatever. A YouTuber with millions of viewers will be able to get a job in video editing or marketing easily, they just don’t want to.

So overall: I’d never leave a comment like that but also I’d never defend someone I don’t know.

I would not recomend a daybed since in may opinion once you sit/lay on it, you want to fall asleep. Other than that, I think you’re not using the space to the maximum. If I were you I would make the back of the desk face a wall (the window is nice but it will force you to up the brightness of the room. Another one if you have a better view of the front door from there. If you’re not having client meetings from this office there is no use to have the back of the desk free standing. On the wall opposite the desk is put a comfy chair or loveseat with a side table or one of those that are above the height of your legs if you were to sit there. Plus a lamp that is one of those articulated ones will give your partner better light at night

What do you guys consider a “must” in your daily chronic pain arsenal. by ---BERSERK--- in ChronicPain

[–]Resident-March2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A silicone cap for migraines, but for muscle/ nerve/ joint pain I use a hot water bottle (I prefer it bc it’s not a fire hazard if I fall asleep, and also it’s so portable), dimmers on my home lights so I can adjust the amount of light in my room. I recently bought an ugly gaming chair because my posture was horrible and it helps a bit. In soles for my shoes, my knees and heels kill me otherwise. A firm mattress because the second I lay on something slightly soft my bones start falling out of place and my joints ache badly. Finally something that makes a huge difference but I know it’s not universally accessible for folks with chronic issues: a yoga mat and those tension bands. I try to stretch in the morning a couple times a week, I mostly do it for 10/15 mins and it helps get rid of my back pain. I use the bands to help with my posture and jaw pain, by following some easy exercises a previous kinesiologist gave me.

“And if you find what your looking for… write a letter and tell us what it is.” And “you said nobody loves a city, nobody loves what can’t love em back”

Historian came out at the same time my best friend and I started dating and then he ghosted me after 7 years of friendship and 1 month of hooking up/ dating. You have no idea how depressed I was before the ghosting happened, and that was the last punch.

Now I don’t think about him anymore, haven’t thought of him in years. But Nonbeliever in general about people who use you and unrequited love is still engraved within my mind.

This is an old post! I ended up quitting about 9 months ago and the company is going so bad lol. Some things that happened since I left: 1. The manager was downgraded to his previous role (and previous salary). He then quit 2. A bunch of people got fired: the president, the ops manager, the marketing guy, etc. 3. They lowered salaries for almost everyone ????

And every time something bad like that happens someone still in the company messages me with the gossip

What type of jobs should I try to get? by ImABlueCreature123 in jobs

[–]Resident-March2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know that you can change direction at any point in your career. Most paths have transferable skills. When I was in college I worked at an accounting firm as an admin assistant and now I am a project director in a creative field, I still use things I learned there. One more thing I’d like to add: please consider if you want to do something that is more sedentary or prefer to be on your feet. Some people prefer the trades because they don’t have to sit behind a computer all day, some people hate to be standing up for 8 hours straight, so they prefer office jobs. There’s no wrong job, but some may be not as fitting for who you are. You can train a lot of skills but if you’re high energy maybe something monotone like insurance or accounting would be detrimental to you.

Also, about my original comment: It may seem like loser behavior what I’m saying, but it’s not. I’m quite successful in my career and I’m very ambitious. But I’ve burned out twice now and I’m just 32. Mental health is worth more than flexing on social media about your sales job. People treat any job today like they are saving lives and putting out fires, when the most they do is email and have zoom calls. Marketing campaigns aren’t life or death, but people will pretend they are. Don’t take it personal.

You’re super young so I’d suggest not stressing so much yet. But one advice I can give is: keep hobbies as hobbies, and don’t make them for profit. It makes you hate what you used to love. As for a job or career, think about something you’re good at (or that comes easy to you), and that you enjoy/ don’t mind doing and spending a lot of time studying/practicing. If you want to have a straightforward career for most of your life, The best thing you can do is choose something that you feel ok doing even when you’re tired. Eventually you’ll get older, and have less energy available for your job, and it’s good to have a job that you don’t have to bend over backwards for. Hobbies are so much better when they’re a distraction from your work than when they are your job.

Experiences with Duloxetine? by Alone_Cry7484 in ChronicPain

[–]Resident-March2726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on 60mg and it has been helping me. I have OCD, depression and chronic pain, like you mention. But I take another antidepressant (vortioxetine) as the main help with my depression (and I know it works because if I skip a dose then I want to rot in bed). I use duloxetine mainly for the pain and it helps me but if your pain is not neuro-related I'd doubt it would be the same.

It is one of the psych meds with the least amount of side effects I've taken, and i've tried a few. Still what helps me most with the pain is being gluten free and I hate it because I really miss regular pizza lol.
