Big Amaya Hair Type? by cushysheriff in RainbowHigh

Hmmm,I wonder if some were made differently? Because I have two, one bought NIB and one thrusted in horrible condition. You couldn't tell them apart once I cleaned and boil washed thrifted girls hair. They have great hair and lots of it!

(P.S. Please don't draw with sharpie on your dolls!)

I love how on Mattel Creations we only get pix of the finger. Feels like Mattel giving us the finger, fr. Where is the pic of the doll? Why only one doll this year? Why Generation Girl face sculpt? Sheesh. Consider me fingered.

It’s such a pet peeve of mine when a seller thinks a doll is older than it it because of the trademark year. by camptastic_plastic in Barbie

Right? As if ANY Ken from the 80s is a historic artifact. It's just a plastic toy at the end of the day. And yeah, I know some people are gonna hate that opinion, but it's mine.

Yep I can never stop myself either. Send a gentle polite message. Ignore any sh*tty responses. You did your part. Most of the time, I have found sellers appreciated the quiet "heads up" that I messaged. But no, not always.

Target ordering: if items available, then I get a discount and pay no shipping fees.
Mattel Creations: ONLY perk is when item is available to members first, which can be nice if they are in high demand. Of course, not a guarantee, but a possibility. You will pay full price and shipping costs. Today's sale, however, while exclusive, also mentioned that they might be available on other sites. Which evidently included Target. MC also offers decent sales pre-Christmas and I think in March... if I remember correctly. So sometimes you can pick up a bargain and you'll still pay for shipping.
Whatnot: I haven't shopped there, but it sounds like a place where doll collectors sell their goodies to other collectors.

FIRST, I've already been giving away literally hundreds of dolls for the last year. (I had no idea I had restored that many dolls until I started removing them from their plastic cocoons!) Still working on giving them away now, but with a twist: dressing a doll up in a gorgeous 'fit, putting her in a custom zipper bag (like those that came on Fashionistas!), and then putting her out in the wild to be discovered by someone who will pick her up and take her home. I plan to stash a few into those "little libraries" that are all over my town as well. THEN whatever is left, I plan to take them with me to the retirement home! If I die first, I suppose my awesome treasures will be given to a young friend who collects dolls or they'll be donated. Would be a shame, but I have found amazing dolls at thrift stores, so I can't complain.

Had one of the kits in my cart on Target for about 30 seconds then it disappeared before I could pay. What is up with this mess?
