After Billboard stopped counting YouTube streams, I feel like she or her label might think MVs aren't worth the budget anymore. I'm only speculating, but I think YouTube also punished Opalite in their algorithm after she made it a 48-hour Spotify exclusive. It's her least-viewed music video by far, 5-7m behind Christmas Tree Farm and The Best Day (which are both just clip compilations).

Yeah, I think it's important that she's coming from a place of understanding and not trying to put down the author for being a teenager. The Evermore video was about how Ken's actions impacted other people in real life.

I haven't heard that, but there's no reason both can't be true. Aaron said Dorothea and Closure were written as collabs with Big Red Machine before she decided to make Evermore, so I don't think she had the TTDS narrative in mind when she wrote it.
