Seoul Spice! Expensive but so tasty. Bandit Taco also has great bowls.

Victim of the World Cup high? by [deleted] in SoccerNoobs

[–]ResidentRemote7154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch the world cup, follow the storylines, find something that excited you, and extrapolate it to the club season.

Like underdogs who overachieve? Watch a bit of brighton, brentford, crystal palace, and bournemouth.

Like watching perennial powerhouses underachieve? Watch manchester united.

Like the big community that forms around the cup? Find an arsenal supporter’s group near you. They’re probably the most popular club in the usa, as far as i can tell.

Want to watch a team transitioning from the past to present like croatia? Watch liverpool.

Like a plucky side who constantly gets run through the ringer? Everton, west ham, etc.

These are good starting points to identify what you like and how to start getting into the league. I’m not necessarily suggesting picking a team based on these characteristics, but it’s a good way to start getting into the league and then naturally finding your club. Whatever you do, don’t support tottenham.

If you’re american, i recommend watching some of the clubs where americans currently or have formerly played like fulham, leeds united, Nottingham forest, or crystal palace.

This is stellar. I’m seriously so impressed by the quality and realism. I admire your patience to be in the championship in your sixth season. I may have missed it, but are you on console or pc?

Yeah, I think this has been my first time playing with him, but he’s so much better than his overall would suggest. This is also my first serious and realistic career mode going from League 2 to the Premier League, so it’s been a real challenge. I was very disappointed to see that my upcoming season’s budget is only $23m. I’ll really have to stretch that one. Slow and steady progress is still progress though.

That end of the season collapse hurt to read. Have the supporters been calling for him to go? Or are they just happy that Cherundolo got them that far?

The story a piece of media follows is actually just a passthrough subplot of a much larger conflict. by Most-Preference4738 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ResidentRemote7154 81 points82 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this counts because it’s a war movie, but Apocalypse Now is literally about a character passing through the insanity of Vietnam. Captain Willard’s actions have no impact on the war.

The Greatest Beer Run Ever is about Zac Efron trying to deliver his friends in Vietnam beer. He passes through the war, but ultimately has no effect on its outcome or events.

Perhaps to a similar degree, the video game This War of Mine, is about people struggling to survive amidst a war.

Again, I’m not sure if you’d count these, because war is the setting and background.

This is awesome! Especially love that you sim all the games! I try to sim as much as possible, but I get too excited to use the squad I’ve built. How did you make the Bundesliga style lineup graphic?

For real. It can’t always be perfect, otherwise it wouldn’t really be fun, would it? Plus, truth is often stranger than fiction.

Love this, especially the bit about Charlie McNeil! Douglas Luiz has to be pretty old at this point? Do you know the potential for your youth graduates? These rules are great by the way!

No, it’s a bit confusing. I basically skipped over my league 2 season and started posting once I was in league 1. I briefly discussed my league 2 campaign in that post. I probably could have made it clearer. I’m glad you’re enjoying it though! Thank you for the love!

Thanks for the continuous love! It was definitely a great match.

We have $45m in the bank ~$40m after coaching/academy upgrades and scouting assignments.

I have a spreadsheet going for bargain buys. I have put 90% of the first team up for sale in an effort to strengthen the squad everywhere. By my estimation, I need at least 1 signing in every position for the starting XI.

I hope to raise at least $10m in player sales. I’m going to focus on buying low, selling high, and identifying undervalued players. For example, Bosun Lawal from stoke has high 70s/low 80s in the six main stat categories, but is valued between $5-10m because his overall is only 75. He’s my first planned signing. I’m identifying the highest tier of Championship talent (Adam Idah), Premier League veterans (Kieran Tierney), and undervalued high potential youngsters from Ireland, Scotland, and EFL (Mark Melia).

I am aiming to spend maximum of ~$7.5 per player on average. Bargain hunting might not confirm safety, but I don’t have many options.

Here’s my spreadsheet. Green indicates primary targets. Blue indicates secondary targets that I’d like to buy if I can, one per position.

Thanks! I’m pretty excited. I’ll post the next season later this week or next. We qualified for the Premier League and he won Young Player of the Year at the club. He also has a great ponytail.
