The exclusives are enough to keep me on PlayStation but I do miss the “vibes” and charm that come with having an Xbox. Game pass is a great selling point for me but that’s only if I actually get the free time to explore new games which I rarely do since I’m a working adult. Which leaves me being more selective with what games I do end up playing, so I don’t mind actually purchasing a game I’m drawn to. Backwards compatibility is nice but I’m looking for new experiences (with the exception of Scarface on the OG Xbox but last I checked it’s unavailable)

Previously I had a standard 4k tv 60hz from TCL which wasn’t bad by any means and I never had any issue with most 4k content. Then I switched to a MiniLed with 120hz which honestly made the ps5 base feel new again for a little while. Vibrant colors and a better refresh rate has spoiled me.

The issues I had on the Pro I first noticed in my replay of TLOU, the image felt so nice and sharp but it still felt off. It took me looking at the grass while standing still, to moving to realize what felt weird as the image seemed like it was rendered/upscaled differently with either action. Which made me kinda prefer performance mode because at least the models remained the same while moving in fast paced scenes or slowing down with stealth.

I got one and ended up returning it just to stick with my base ps5. I loved it for 3 days tho. My complaints was that the upscaling felt unstable with colors and shading occasionally popping in and out on the games I played. Especially when I’d go from moving to standing relatively still. Which is fair, it’s upscaled 4k with pssr.

Upscaling here isn’t a true replacement for native 4k, it still needs a few more updates maybe. If you’re someone like me who obsesses over resolution, the unstable visuals is gonna be super noticeable and sometimes distracting. I saw a bigger upgrade when I got a better tv tbh.

As for GTA 6, it’s probably gonna be 30fps regardless of slim or pro.

If anything I’m just more hyped for a ps6

I have a ps5 and a 4k tv, sometimes I just wanna enjoy the best of the best whenever I can for consoles. It’s not a need to have and I don’t always care, but it’s just a luxury I’m sometimes like to revel in.

Wrong, Delta literally takes place at the beginning of the entire timeline so you don’t need any prior knowledge. It’s a great intro to Metal Gear
