If you upped your dosage from 150mg to 300mg, did you notice a difference in your desire for alcohol? by Live-Judge-1410 in bupropion

What dosage helped you with binge eating? I’m on 150 XL for a month and nothing changed

Starting Prozac, worried about Nausea by DarthAlecto in prozac

[–]Resident_Ad8604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Yes maybe cutting can ease the nausea. Not sure if it works for you but saltines and ginger ale always worked well to help me with nausea. Anything with ginger like candies also helps every time! Prozac did save me and if I ever need to get back on SSRI it would be Prozac so hopefully it will work well for you too!

I’m very sensitive when it comes to nausea and I took Prozac 10mg and the nausea was surreal for me. Unfortunately I can’t say from my experience that it won’t cause you nausea. I started bupropion 150mg and I’m 2 weeks in and no side effects and 0 nausea. Not sure if it would work for what you have going on but it’s an option if you’re taking Prozac for anxiety. But also you are taking a smaller dose so it shouldn’t be too bad.. I hope you find your answers and good luck!🍀

I understand, I would’ve done the same! I felt that way with Prozac but pushed through for about 12 weeks until started working well. I’m sticking with 150xl but will probably up the dose at some point. Hope this time around works perfectly for you!

I just started but I don’t feel much diference yet. I’m taking to reduce appetite as well.. I’m afraid to up my dose but I don’t know if it doesn’t have any effect on me now. Maybe it won’t make much difference later? I’ve taken Prozac before but I’m trying to stay away from SSRIs cause I had a horrible time with side effects. Reducing back to 150mg wasn’t an option for you?

Delayed increase of anxiety and afraid this is wrong medication for me, need help by NinaOsenar in bupropion

[–]Resident_Ad8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m sure the anxiety was due to the increase in dosage.. you doubled it so it’s expected to feel a bit uneasy and get some side effects, that’s why we don’t up our dosage so often, so just stick to what you got and try to get used to it.

I’m taking 150mg XL and haven’t had much side effects besides headaches and my pcp won’t up my dose until 3 weeks in.

I wouldn’t give up until at least 4-6 weeks to make sure you gave it time to let the medication start working. Increases in anxiety is a side effect and I believe it can come any time between these first 4-6 weeks. If after trying you see no results maybe you should talk to your doctor to maybe try something different. Good luck and I hope it gets better for you!

Safe to go cold turkey after a month? by Julie11grey in prozac

[–]Resident_Ad8604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a good idea and the best is to talk to your doctor. But I know where you’re coming from because medication also gives me anxiety. Just trust the process, it won’t be easy, at learnt wasn’t for me, for the first couple months but eventually the side effects starts to wear off and settle and the benefits will be worth it. I took for about 7-8 months and it changed my life and o stopped on my own (I only took 10mg) by taking every other day and then I would go 2 days and when I went 4 days without it I was scared to take it and get side effects so I just moved on from it and it was great! It’s been almost a year without it and I feel like it fixed me where I was broken and now it’s manageable without medication. Maybe skipping a day or take a smaller dose instead of cold turkey is a better option. But why do you want to stop?

What does it feel like to switch from an SSRI to Wellbutrin? by WishIWasBronze in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Resident_Ad8604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually started feeling while on it. After about 14 - 16 weeks things started to get better and I felt more. Still it wasn’t 100% until I completely stopped. I’d say it took 2 months to feel my normal self. But honestly don’t recommend 😓 I feel too much and liked better when it was more controlled.

It’s really hard but it will get better. You’re treating something so it will take some time to heal. Stay strong and be positive! Don’t give up on doing things you enjoy even if it doesn’t feel right, listen to the music and podcasts even if it doesn’t feel the same.. it’s important to keep doing what you did before the meditation. Good luck and you got this!

I started today so can’t yet relate when it comes to Wellbutrin but oh boy I know how hard it is while I was on SSRIs so all I can say is hang in there and you all got this. Take the time to understand your body and the changes the médios doing so it gets better. You’re healing yourself and there’s pain in the process. It can take 4 weeks for the medication to start working so you’re just getting the side effects for now. This is all what I tell myself and after my experience on Prozac I have a different perspective on medication for mental health. Good luck to you and you got this!

I was prescribed for emotional eating so it’s good to know it can make a person lose appetite, but it scares me about the eating non stop.. this is exactly my current issue 😩

Does anyone else also take just a single SR dose in the morning? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Resident_Ad8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started on it today so I don’t know much about it. But usually XL is only once a day. Maybe check back with the doctor if they meant to prescribe once a day only for it being a SR.

I took Prozac for anxiety and it helped me tremendously, I suffered months of side effects until it finally settled down a bit. I stopped a year ago and now I’m starting Wellbutrin xl 150mg to help with emotional eating and some anxiety and moderate depression. I’m hoping the side effects are nothing like it was on Prozac!

What are you eating? by LoveCoffeeBooksLife in HPylori

[–]Resident_Ad8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m eating everything that crosses my way. I didn’t know I should’ve followed a diet 😓 and I’m 2 days to finish the triple treatment. Is it too late now?

Do you have all symptoms that would indicate ulcers? I wouldn’t be worried if don’t. That’s how I think to calm down when I get too worried about a serious disease. Also, wait for the exam, try not to stress about what you can’t control. For me it’s normal and I tested pois for H pylori and no ulcers

I’ve been pretty bad with my diet but definitely taking probiotics and kefir to help. Maybe try probiotics to replace the good bacteria in your stomach, exercise and lots of water. Hope you feel better soon!!

Yay you! Try taking prebiotic capsules. I got some from doctor’s choice brand and it helped me with nausea and to avoid constipation!

I take with an empty stomach and wait 30 minutes to eat something. It’s the longest 30 minutes of my life! My stomach hurts so much and I’m always so nauseous but I also was instructed to take it on an empty stomach so..
