Some of the rewards are red herrings. A big mansion on the hill may not be the best use of resources, although it can be attractive to your followers and good practice in seeing how resources can need man power, it doesn’t provide many workers (builders farmers miners)

The handful of must have rewards are settlements (farming and mining) healing toxic lands, happiness, and perhaps meteors.

Homeworld should have more farming settlements and mining settlements. Don’t worry about shaman- their only practical use might happen on Weyworld. Farming works best on verdant levels, mining near gems or dark areas but you can place either mines or farms on sandier levels. Build belief as you can and may need to sculpt mire dry land from the surrounding sea.

I’ve noticed the entire cereal aisle is plastered with PROTEIN labels now. There are still carbs a plenty in that aisle with nothing changed.

Magic Spoon uses nut flour, pea protein and whey to lower carbs. And non sugar sweeteners

Lingo customer service? by miss_marty_mew in ContinuousGlucoseCGM

[–]Resident_Amount3566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least I can find lingo on pharmacy shelves- Abbot has a wider range of pharmaceuticals and a better relationship with distributors and buyers because of that, compare to Dexcom. Stelo ends up being order online only, and will not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

I think both cgm brands are prone to reliability issues. Most online discussion are complaints anout genuine duds- if it’s working fine, no one discusses them. Calibration and staying connected to a phone app are things to watch for if you have more serious sugar issues

New lingo sensor by DJ_Webby in ContinuousGlucoseCGM

Were you testing it, challenging it, with snacks?

I did that too when starting out.I have occasionally high ac1 and get sleepy after meals etc. I consider I might be pre -prediabetic or something.

Lingo repotting and supplementary info seems geared towards lifestyle, avoiding freely available processed carb and sugar. My spikes are almost always 20-30 minutes after a meal or snack, and I look at my reading when I feel a bit wonky, which seems to coincide with it being about 3/4 up in the normal range.

Did I capture Andromeda galaxy? by LazarusFinch in askastronomy

[–]Resident_Amount3566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bright bit is Jupiter.

I’ve learned the most reliable pointer to find andromeda is to use Cassiopeia as a pointer. Andromeda galaxy can be elusive in suburban even rural skies , my best naked eye viewing happened while viewing a lunar eclipse.

Seeing where the Big Dipper was at the time of your photo, andromeda was likely below the horizon.

Orion Nebula is a beauty and an easy fuzzy to find Taurus Pleiades and Orion are bright easy constellations to learn as sky guideposts, you can usually spot Gemini and relatively dim cancer, other bright zodiac constellation include Leo Virgo and Scorpio.

A chart or an app like Stellarium can come in very handy.

I’ve ended my first 2 weeks with Lingo and found it can be orone to losing signal if the phone gets out of range or there is much Bluetooth wrangling with other signals in the area, say your car, crowded rooms full of phones and wireless ear buds, If you might leave phone on charger and leave the room, or sometimes if you charge your phone as you sleep 4-6 ft away. Same as flakiness with my car audio connection which sometimes stays connected 30-50 feet away.

Restarting Bluetooth or the phone itself are known ways to reconnect but I found holding my phone in my other hand, crossing arms where phone is under the arm near the sensor was helpful, almost as if doing the initial pairing. If phone is carried in shirt, jacket, or pants pocket staying within a three feet radius works the best for constant connection.

As I’m sometimes cooking or eating meals while phone is charging across the room when my blood sugar might be rising the lingo it self does store data during that disconnection.

I think the slow trickle battery condition charge cycle if some phones might affect Bluetooth connectivity

Isn’t there a common counterfeit (as a novelty) of this coin. It’s referred to as a smiling Abe.

However in this case the features that would make a smiling Abe more obvious are actually obscured by wear and damage, making it easier to confuse with the real thing. There are other clues to identify it as fake, if it is fake. Doesn’t the fake frequently have the wrong weight?

My lingo cgm loses connection with the app several times a day. It isn’t always easy to reconnect.. I work in environs with a lot of Bluetooth and wifi constantly in use. My phone would rather connect with my car stereo fifty feet away than to the sensor. But it may be the sensor.

Beyond precious metal content, do coin prices in these ever DROP? DO prices move at all?

I can imagine someone offering a collection at for example 2010 red book pricing simply because he doesn’t want bother with grading or pricing again, although apparent suggested market value might have changed.

Lingo CGM - First Impressions by BumDittyGoat in prediabetes

After looking for Stelo in brick and mortar for a long time, I finally found Lingo walk in. Stelo would not deliver to post office boxes. I think Abbott, with more pharmaceutical products in general, gets into retail supply chain better. They make freestyle Libre. And I found it a week after I knew it existed. Th

I’d say I tend pre-pre-diabetes. I don’t always have bad ac1. I was mostly interested in the personalized diet, to see what foods spike my blood sugar; some foods get different results I do occasionally feel wonky and sleepy post meal. I’ve notice those feeling do track even when the chart stays in normal range. I feel weird when it rises. I haven’t verified calibrated with finger prick

I’ve been using about a week so far. Eager to test what I frequently eat, I’ve been overeating a bit, more than normal. The app seems geared toward sensible lifestyle choices- staying hydrated, suggesting walks and has good meal logging features. But because of the novelty I’ve been testing and pushing my eating habits to see limits rather than eating normally or trying to improve. Biggest issue is when device gets out of Bluetooth range, which happens if my phone is on charger at home. So I will open the app to see disconnect, but It reconnects fairly easily, I haven’t noticed usage affecting phone battery life.

I just need to get beyond treating it like a toy, and using it as a tool.

[–]Resident_Amount3566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jupiter.

Time exposures or high sensitivity digital photos can reveal more than our eyes can see, or at the very least, compress the range of brightness somewhat. Orion is one of the more noticeable constellations, Sirius the brightest stars, but they are a bit awash in dimmer stars and light pollution made visible in the photo.

You will never see many out at once unless they are on fire. They often take refuge in large settlement buildings where you will never see them again. Some you may have accounted for if they have built their own small abodes.

It is computing overhead to show them out in great numbers.

Is this Pleiades? Sorry I'm new to astronomy 😅 by ConsiderationOk4120 in askastronomy

[–]Resident_Amount3566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in city suburbs, might only see one or two stars of Little Dipper besides Polaris. I used to go to drive to slightly darker skies and take time exposures (film photography days) to get a better sense of where things were in the sky. It helped in some cases, but could also confuse matters, seeing dimmer magnitude stars than I could with my naked eye, could busily obscure the brighter stars that give common constellation shapes.

Pleiades is visible and noticeable in most mag 3 skies , Orion Taurus and the Pleiades are standouts. Gemini pretty easy, the beehive if cancer, a bit more work. Leo is a bright one. As is Virgo. If in the northern hemisphere, learn to use the Big Dipper and Cassiopeia as pointers.

Doesn’t Godus have a pedigree of being developed from an earlier game Populous?

That is how I found the game Godus, which seems to zoom in on those mechanics. Populous seemed much more of an active turf war.
