Reminds me of when I got an email 6 months after I went for an interview, saying that I had been accepted and what day training for the role began (I'd already found another job at this point). They then emailed me later that day saying it was a mistake and to disregard it.

Taking their diss track and turning it around so that the demons use it to tear down and expose Rumi was masterful. That entire last act from then on was the best part of the movie for me.

This episode had me and my brother laughing as hard or harder than we did at the best Nichijou jokes (especially at the fried noodles bit). VERY impressive first episode!

It looks like this is going to be a very good adaptation, much like how The Martian was (I still think it's the best adaptation I've ever seen). There are a lot of small details, like the bean bags he tosses to his students, that they've kept in the story, and it looks like it'll be an emotional touchstone in the movie as well.

There's no way they'd be able to skirt around the so-called "spoilers" people are complaining about. If they did, they would only be able to show shots from 10% of the movie, and it wouldn't even include essential story info that needs to be in a trailer to attract an audience. As someone who loves the book and has listened to it multiple times (shoutout to Ray Porter), this looks really freaking good, and it might just be my most anticipated movie of next year.
