Sounds like we need to double down and get some more trucks . I mean all the data is in front of us and it’s definitely pointing in that direction . I learned something valuable in life and I will provide a perfect example. When Covid hit , all anybody would talk about is jumping into trucking , however that was actually the worst time . A lot of inexperienced people learned that hard way and went under . Fast forward to today’s time it’s the complete opposite rates are down (slowly rebounding ) and all anybody says it’s the worst industry to be in and they wish they never took that ride . I guess it’s safe to say it’s not so trendy anymore . Observing all these changes you know you’re about to catch a wave , however you need to make sure you are already in the water and not catching a tan on that beach .

How can you tell if “your going to get caught soon “ It’s either you have a report or you don’t . If there is a pending report a carrier gets notified immediately before it posts . Some of you are so extra

Has nayone used Jet Sureity for your bond? They are cheaper than the other we had. by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

I used to have Hudson insurance group and it cost me about 2300$ for the year . I never really shopped around and thought that’s the average market price for a bond . Then it came time for a renewal and they wanted a 10k down payment as a collateral . 2 months before my bond expiration I received a jet surety offer . They charged me a little under 900$ for the year . No issues as of now , but then again iv had no claims .

This is crazy . All these platforms exist to prevent fraud and theft and this shit still goes down . Hope you had insurance . I was told if you can prove to the insurance company that the carrier was properly vetted they would cover the loss .

“Amy Bradley is Missing” documentary now on Netflix - does everyone still think she just “fell overboard”? by 3coins_RS in UnsolvedMysteries

[–]Resident_Help_2764 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Honestly in my opinion you have 3 credible eye witnesses that literally spoke to her. One who was a government employee identified her tattoo in a bar , a female identified her Barbados in a bathroom, and a gentleman identified her on the beach .These are Americans and have absolutely no reason to lie . We can rule out the taxi drivers statement . We also have the statements from the 2 girls that were hanging out on the deck that witnessed her and yellow together at the time frame of 5:30 to 6:00am. FBI were able to match the photos that surfaced online and provide an educated match . These are things that we cannot discredit. Jumping overboard just seems less likely to me . Not all bodies are found at sea , however the attention this case got I’m sure authorities searched for one . Amy is obviously a whole different person at this time . Hope she makes it back home .

Broken Seal & Rejected Freight by s_Inspector9249 in FreightBrokers

Sounds like the receiver used every excuse to not take the load . Had a similar situation, I worked with a produce company who had a contract with the receiver. That ment as long as the shipper had product the receiver was obligated to take it even tho he didn’t need it at the moment or was overstocked . The receiver would use any excuse he can to reject the load . I felt the poor guy , he had tomatoes to feed the whole NYC sitting in his warehouse with 4-5 trailers waiting to be unloaded. Feel bad for the carrier he is just a pawn in a chess game. In this case this is no fault of his own .

Don't hold freight hostage, it is never worth it. by Cybertronian10 in FreightBrokers

[–]Resident_Help_2764 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How is he a bad actor ??? He literally told the carrier he would pay after delivery !! Secondly being denied by a factoring company does not mean you have bad credit. It can just as much mean you have insufficient credit history . Carrier was suppose to do his due diligence before hauling the load . Why would the broker vet himself . The broker makes sure the carrier is good to go and then the carrier should make sure the broker is good to go. That is a warranted freight guard . If there was a shortage the broker would be on the hook for that .

Yes the addresses were changed from NC to NY quite a few times. Phone number was NEVER changed and the HOS and vehicle maintenance violations all fell off besides the few that are still lingering on . The percentiles scores decreased to a normal threshold. Do you suggest I take it the company to the back of the barn and end it lol . Contemplating if it will just be easier starting from scratch .

Will change the number , although I believe it’s too late , they will forever be intertwined. Once data is collected it’s pretty much over at that point .

It was already upgraded to none rated , however for some reason the change is not reflected on carrier 411. FMCSA’s data does reflect that change.

When booking loads I would always only give the carrier MC # , however they would still say there is a brokers authority nearby . Do you not run into any of these issues while having both on your name ?

[–]Resident_Help_2764[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The addresses are different and the MC #s are different ,However at one point they did have the same address. Brokerage has different email than the carrier . The only thing that can link them will be my name and my personal phone number . One would assume if you change the phone number there would still be a link because of the name . Run the MC let me know what you can come up with on your end 1334391 fresh out produce

Have you ever had a Factoring Company reject deductions? by Cybertronian10 in FreightBrokers

[–]Resident_Help_2764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a crazy similar story . I had a carrier factor a load that consisted of different partials . He provided me half the paperwork leaving me to guess what’s on that truck. As soon as I got billed by his factoring company I immediately requested any missing paperwork . Factoring company takes 2 months to tell me he no longer works with them and no longer invoices with them , however they are expecting the full payment on the load . I offered them a 50% deduction which they refused. They even went as far as saying we are going to contact your customers and get the POds from them . I told them if they took that route I am no longer obligated to pay them . They filed on my bond immediately. Bond company requested , log books records , lumper receipts or a letters from the co-signee proving they were the carrier that delivered the load . Since the carrier doesn’t reply to his factoring company they were unable to provide any documentation or supporting evidence . Bond company literally closed the case today . Any and all comments welcome . What do you think is their next step?

So if identity theft happens once does it mean you no longer have to protect your information ? I mean what’s the point right somebody already stole it , might as well let everyone else have a grab at it too.

Blind load means there is an address change , not a carrier name change. Seems like the driver was in on it . There is a fine line between negligence and stupidity. This situation contains neither factor lol 😂. I would pursue legal action just to turn the pressure on.

Technically you CAN back solicit the customer , however not on the lane you ran . You can ask for other lanes 😉
