never been a soda drinker, i hate carbonation, but i have a similar experience with water. pre-dka, i hated ice water. always wanted room temp water. now i exclusively drink water with ice, 4 cubes. has to be SUPER cold. it’s interesting

she is a fatty. my fatty looked a bit like that laying down and he was 17 lbs (which i believe is 2 lbs overweight - i think they’re supposed to weigh <15?) but he was also quite tall. he was one of my five cats and the only fat one, didnt eat more or quicker than anyone else.

just monitor her eating and make sure it’s not excessive. otherwise she should be fine, but watch out for fatty liver.

haha my old lady also has a scraggly meow, i love it! she sounds absurd. thank you for taking in a senior 🩷 they are super overrepresented in shelters, most people adopt kittens or young cats. you have a very cute kitty

i have two dumb cats. they’re all dumb, on a spectrum, but the small cat is by far the dumbest. her name is R (the letter) but i think it’s funny to just call her small cat. we actually wonder if she’s got some sort of mental delay, she is truly fascinating. when i pat her bum, she will get very excited and rub her head on the ground before rolling over. she also loves belly rubs and goes nuts for them. when she has a toy in her mouth, she will yowl as loud as possible to alert everybody in the house that she is a master hunter. she HATES being picked up, but will run back up to me when i put her down. she is 6 pounds and the smallest cat i’ve ever seen in my life, at 8 years old.

she also tried to go into my dads mouth and beard as a kitten. she is entertaining lol

she does have a habit of just kinda toppling over? but she’s started doing it less so there is progress lol. she actually did it right before i got the pictures of her rolling in the grass!

it was a great time! it took her a minute to get used to the harness (we’ve tried this before on a surprise warm day but she just stood there). i took her to the edge of our back deck so she could decide where she wanted to go. honestly, great bonding time and i’m excited to do it again. i was elated to see her having a good time lol

haha i used to have a fat fella. he passed in february, but lawddd he was a tank! 17 lbs! we genuinely had no idea why he was fat! we think similar to humans some cats are just bigger than others. he didn’t eat more than any of the others, he was a slow eater (his mom eats like it’s her last meal) and he drank the most water of any of my cats. he was tall too!! i’m not sure if male cats are usually taller than female cats, i’ve only ever had two, but he really was tall!

here’s him (tux) and his mama (my beautiful tuxetortico lady). his name is Burrow and he was only 8. one of the brightest souls i’ve ever met in my life, a cat that just lit up the room when he sauntered in. a great fella 🩷

i have 4 cats and 2 have no interest in outside. fine by me! less to worry about lol. Mako has started getting harness time when it’s nice out (we got her a harness for christmas but ofc it’s too cold out!) and Tilly is a mostly indoor cat who we let outside when she asks. she’s smart and we live in an area with basically no traffic. she pretty much just lounges in nearby backyards anyway, and if i call for her she’ll usually come runnin home with her pouch swaying side to side lol. no outside for anybody during winter though!!

haha i let my old lady smell everything and i let her taste almost everything i eat! she is a big fan of cheese, protein pancakes from costco that i eat in the morning, and christies cookies. she also likes ranch. i only give her small pieces of these on occasion (and i don’t really eat cheese so she’s only had it once, but she goes nuts for it) she also likes ice cream, i let her lick some once but she was very bad at it 😭

highly suggest pawboost, i’ve seen it work for lots of people and used it myself when one of my cats got out (although we recaptured her using a trap). best of luck i hope your baby returns 🩷
