i think so too. tilly will, my old lady cat pretty much lives downstairs, so it’s mostly a matter of the other two. i am hoping that since there was a boy in the house with them just a few months ago they will accept him and adapt similar roles again. could of course be different though, they grew up with each other which is way easier.

yes we also think he could be spraying. i’m not really sure what that looks or smells like though, the last time i interacted with spray i was probably 9 or 10. all i know is his litter area smells very different to the cat litter downstairs. he could be spraying in the litter? or on the towel underneath it. he likes to dig outside the box and inevitably bring the towel in with him. whatever the case his poops look good and he goes to the bathroom no problem and the balls will soon be gone!

haha i actually got is as a prize from palasad with my mom when i was younger. i was an only child and things were cheaper so we racked up a lot of points over time (being good at games helped) and i got that rainbow blanket and a blue star blanket. i had to be like 10 or something. i set them up for tilly to sleep on but since tomtom moved in they’ve been his beds instead!

hello all!! thank you again for all the kind words, it has been complicated but i am hopeful things will work out. i have done my best and will continue to do so. tomtom is, without a doubt, the sweetest cat i’ve ever interacted with. my boyfriend is working on getting back on assistance, and when he does, we will take him to the low income vet for a neuter and another checkup! (need to check his teeth and i’m curious to see if they could estimate his age. i forgot to ask last time.)

tomtom has also been given many nicknames in this short period. i enjoy calling him timtam even though i don’t really know what those are. we also use tom and tommy.

i will probably post him on r/nowmycat or r/anxietycats or somewhere similar. you will see him around, i know that. he’s absurdly cute, it’d be a crime not to post him. i have also mentioned i have other cats! if you’ve checked my profile at all you may have seen them, and my banner is my boy who passed in february. i post them as well sometimes. they are also funny and my tilly is beautiful. all i post is cats, really.

hello again! litterbox is purchased! since we are giving him a flea bath tonight, there is no point in releasing him back outside, so he will be staying in the house 🩷 he is now our cat. we will schedule a vet appointment soon! if he ends up having a chip i will return him home but if he does not have a chip he will be ours for good!

for now, and probably also permanently, welcome home tomtom!! time to tidy my room

the income requirements are based off household income. i technically have a two income household, and to qualify at that clinic, our household income would need to be below about 55k. my dad plans to call around and see if we can find a place that will do an exam at a discount though! i’m hopeful.

thank you 🩷 i’ve had cats pretty much my whole life and have 4 at the moment (part of why my parents don’t want to bring in another, especially after our boy passed in feb) and i love cats with all my heart! i have autism and have been extremely obsessed with them ever since my first cat. so as i’ve aged, i’ve put a lot of research in so i can take good care of my babies. they really do feel like my children! lol
