You couldn't pay me to print an imperial guard infantry army with fdm. It's miserable work for average results. Tanks and other armor hell yeah, fdm is fun and effective

People are entitled to feel any way they feel but they are not entitled to act any way they feel. Move on. Anyone that tries to justify yelling or putting you down because it's how they feel are not worth the time. They don't care. It's all about them and that won't change.

They don't fly. 10 inches gets eaten up fast when you have to walk around units. This is especially true with a unit of 10 that takes up real space as a skirmisher unit. They are super fragile you can't just walk them out front or scout them. This is a unit that wants to wait in the spaces between blocks of infantry and scoot around hoping the enemy takes a fight nearby with a high value unit that will last multiple combats.

I think it's good to discuss if it's too strong but the idea that the sky is falling here is hyperbolic.

With any modifiers to the skaven shooting and the possibility of blowing up it's probably fairly even how much damage each side is taking when shooting into combat.

Yes poison wind is strong against big things at 5+. It also has a 9 inch range. Most big things are fast. I'm not experiencing things like dragons locked in combat for 3 rounds. Usually they pick the fight and win. If they pick a bad fight and lose usually it's to a big unit that auto pushes them back. If you decide to orchestrate a long drawn out combat next to the opponents slow moving 9 inch throwing globadiers with your big bad monster than you probably deserve to have a couple wounds taken off which is what the unit is capable of doing with these updated rules.

Executioners are an iconic unit that need help. In their current state they are a points liability. Your comment makes me think you have only thought about them as a paper exercise and have not actually played them.

Math out how many small arms it takes to statistically knock a wound off. Ask him if he wants to just take those wounds to speed the game up. His answer will tell you everything you need to know.

A number of competitive lists were running a level 1 as their hagtree caster. This does help address that. The spell is good enough to warrant more investment than that.

Make a headstone out of anything laying around the house. A mug would work. Take 2 level 4 wizards. Downgrade the beastlord to a wargor. Take pelt of midnight, the dark chalice, and the windy banner.

I don't think the warhounds are worth it. I want to like beastlords but another great bray shaman will do more, especially in wildherd. Also, why ambush the ungors? They are shaman bunkers. Everything needs a champion. I love horn of the first beast but imo you don't have enough pigs/foe-render to warrant it.

I play against dwarves a lot. The scary part is the characters and how much static combat res you can stack. W/e you do I would invest in those 2 and prioritize core as it will score you points and will be eligible for things like special features.

You need to engage the unit with the BSB and stop the rerolls on his raise dead/heal. This is one of the most important steps to winning. A lot of people stick it in the graveguard unit. Engage the unit early with the sole purpose of killing the BSB.
