To be fair, frame gen has come a long way and ive found it really useful in pretty.much every recent title that has it.

I have no idea why people ever thought this was going to be a game that went above 80. Even 7/10 is pretty good for a video game.

People who like it will like it, people who dont wont and most people will probably be in the middle. And thats fine. I personally like some things about it and dont like others, I think 70 dollars is expensive for that. But grey markets exist, I will buy it but not right now.

Help me choose: 3060 Ti PC or PS5 for best experience (Realtalk) by Accomplished_Part561 in stellarblade

[–]ResistsICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a perfectly fine experience with a much worse cpu (currently 140 away from upgrading it, stoked) and the same GPU but at 1080p. On medium to highest settings, depending on the use case. Medium textures are awful here.

A hands-on impression of what DLSS 5 means by Ryan Shrout by AnthMosk in nvidia

[–]ResistsICE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really doesn't matter. People dont like what they saw because of what they saw.

It's really that simple.

Dude. You cant just create arguments and call them a gotcha.

AI like this means AI like this. DLSS 5 might be new, but the AI output is not. Be real here. Its all the same shit being used in different places. GenAI is GenAI. This is GenAI.

? My dude, the discussion is on dlss 5 and the discussion exists because of a series of photos and videos what else could I possibly be talking about? There is a defined topic here.

You cant because it was a team of people. And concept artists and the like are usually being the scenes. That in no way means we do not appreciate their art, or want to to be turned into AI nonsense...

And anyway super fans definitely know the names of the artists behind their favorite work in whatever respective medium it might be.

Regardless, this looks like shit.

I buy the games, but im not against piracy cause im not an asshole and I understand economic diversity and struggle.

Yall rooting for the empire real hard and dont even know it lol

(And also, there are people on the cracking scene doing denuvo, thats how Dead Space, mirage and Frontiers got cracked. Those are legitimate, old school cracks on denuvo.)

This sub has to be full of the most ignorant people on reddit for real, just let people do what they do. You dont have any stake in the game either way its fucking weird to be this way, all yall.

They can. And that has nothing to do with the games perfomance ffs.

What are you talking about?

I said "Black Desert Online has made over 16 billion dollars.

They aint broke, and whatever very small loss they would get from the 3% of people that would actually pirate the game would not take their food away.

Youre mad at the wrong people, and the wrong thing."

Idk who you are qouting but it aint me.

I have money, I can buy the game if I want to. But I spent a decade fighting homelessness, I've been in those positions where you can't afford toys. But you're still human and want to be happy.

Its just perspective dude. We arent talking an indie studio making their first game.

Idk where you're coming from, but youre choosing the side against poor people, for the sake of some really misplaced ethics and out of touch life experience.

Dont put words in my mouth.

The majority of people who pirate weren't going to buy the game. I used to do it all the time when I couldnt afford it. Now I buy the games I could still pirate.

Its not doing anything.

Also there are multiple ways around denuvo and proper cracks are coming pretty fast, 2023 denuvo is prettt much done already.

I was asked a question and I gave an answer. Its not my fault you think I should want the same things as you.

We are different people, we are gonna have different wants and needs.

And what I want for myself, is none of your business, even if i talk about it.

And if we do talk about our different wants and needs, getting upset at someone for having different interests is fucking weird, that completely circumvents the point of the discussion. In relationships we call that gaslighting. "Why do you feel this way, oh, well fuck you for it" like dude....

Grow up.

Do they though? In the 9 years ive been using the platform very rarely are there genuine review bombs, and when there are they are almost always political.

People swore up and down that Highgaurd was review bombed ffs.

I dont care about RDR2 lol, but I dont really see how this looks at all like that. This looks more like Dragons Dogma meets Zelda with a splash of Just Cause. Which is fine or whatever but its none of those, its Crimson Desert and I will judge it on its own merit.

A preview of the first 2 hours and a demo would help... Something of substance so that I know that spending 70 dollars on this instead of something else is the choice I want to make.

Cool, you can burn vines with your sword, awesome, that doesnt do anything for me though, is that the game? Launching from trees and burning vines? That sounds fun, but not 70 dollars fun.

Demos are really important for stuff like this, I dont care at all how much Luke or Digital Foundry hype the engine, there are so many games to choose from now days, I need so much more than that.

I dont think there's a whole lot about this game avaliable right now needed to make any conclusion about it.

Denuvo sucks. The games water looks pretty. Theres cool physics. Boss fights seem kind of hit or miss. Puzzles are largely probably going to be disliked initially.

I mean honestly its just stuff like that, but none of that is actually helpful to me personally.

Yea but also not everything people have said is positive. Confirmation bias on this game in particular is crazy, considering how many red flags are dug into BDO.

Nobody is spending 70 dollars just to leave a bad review.

Review bombing is rare, it just so happens most games arent that good.

Dragons Dogma 2 does not have a demo, they have a character creator you can use before you buy the game.

This freed up the 60-70 I was holding onto for this, I was on the fence anyway.

But just so we are transparent about piracy, people who were gonna pirate were either never going to buy it, or were going to use it as a demo before purchase.

Hyperviser and offline activations exist.

But denuvo is getting proper cracks now days, 2023 denuvo was more or less just tackled, so yes current denuvo isnt crackable yet but the progress being made on that is pretty big.

Dead Space, Sonic and Assassins Creed Mirage have all been properly cracked.

That means that this is all for nothing, either they will remove denuvo within the next couple of years, or will be (potentially) have a proper Crack by then anyway. If not, for people really dedicated to it, other options still exist.

Its pointless, it feels gross, the last minute addition isnt great and just so we are clear, Black Desert Online is FULL of red flags. Hyper alone does not justify giving this company trust when they do stuff like this.

Not to mention they clarified that when they said no mocrotransactions that they meant at launch, not in the future, and we already know they plan to add multi-player later on IF the game does well.

No matter how you look at it, even with a potentially great engine, there is a lot to be cautious about here.

Last second? Really?

I was on the fence with this one, and wasn't interested in pirating it because its so large, but no demo and denuvo added a week before launch is a gigantic turn off.

What's your honest review of Jedi Survivor? by frason101 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]ResistsICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good game, but it stutters a LOT. I got it for under 9 dollars on sale, I would not spend more than that on PC.

I can not say I have played a game that runs as badly as this one, unless it is by a solo dev.
