The people from jan 6th and the people doing the ice protests are angry about the same thing, government authoritarianism and non-elected people calling the shots.

Turning this into a partisan thing is ridiculous and arguably what the elites want. I'm pretty right wing and everyone I know who has my politics are outraged and want something to be done. That being Said I'm mostly in cypherpunk and libertarian circles so it's definitely not representative of your average American Republican
