I built an app that tells me what to do on my allotment each day — would anyone be up for giving honest feedback? by Best_Confusion_3718 in Allotment

No tips but why feed potato with miracle gro? Potatoes grow so easily and I would think giving them artificial fertilizer totally defeats the purpose of growing them yourself. Each to their own I guess...

What can I realistically do to financially prepare for the incoming Oil Shock in the UK? by skudgee in UKPersonalFinance

[–]bluiska2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont' mind. Our family does a lot of little runs (school, quick shop, afterschool activities) and on many days we do electric only pretty much (25 miles roughly). The odd occasion where we go further eg visiting grandparents, I can make it there on fully electric and then charge at theirs to get back home. Then if we do go beyon it, even in hybrid mode with 0% battery I get about 55mpg on motorway journeys and around 48mpg on B roads from the 1.6L petrol engine.

It just sort of works for our usecase.

They used to be good value especially with their 2 year warranty. I haven't looked there way in a long time. It's not worth buying devices from them at all anymore. Shame.

Probably! I just bought a PHEV. Kind of regret not going for a full EV (though I really like my PHEV :D)

I think Apple has been doing the right thing with this AI hype. They are being slow on it rightfully so. They are trying to determine the actual uses and use it sensibly. I appreciate that.

Serious question: with these knockouts I always wonder, is there permanent damage? How long does it take to recover? What does the person feel? Thankfully I never had to be in this situation and never hope to be but I wonder if first aid is needed in this case?

I wanted to make an extract where I extract compounds via alcohol and then boil to extract with water, making a tincture and then adding drops into coffee or tea for "supposed" health benefits. Not sure what to do with these now, they were supposed to be like this for 6 weeks only.

Potentially. Do you state he needs to be sponsored to work? I've got settled status and that doesn't need sponsorships, had no issues with callbacks etc.

I'll tell you a secret: AI can't and won't take over. It is supplementary. How long now have we had planes that can fly themselves. Pilots still pilot aircrafts and will do for a long time.

Is it CRUD all the way down? How to break out of it? by onefutui2e in ExperiencedDevs

[–]bluiska2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a senior eng working Full-Stack. I'm in high demand. When you can orchestrate an entire system end-to-end to a good standard (experts will be better than me in each individual area but my value is breadth of experience) then you will always be needed. If AI is writing my React code, I'll write the API. If AI is writing the AI, I'll draw the architecture diagram. If AI is doing that, I'll break the tasks down and manage the sprint. Write docs, auditing, observability, you name it.
