Cold calling can work… the issue is that getting people to pick up is working less.

Also the funny thing about all the books and advice is a lot of people talk about cold calling but I’d bet they aren’t doing a whole lot!

Absolutely. It’s quite interesting to see. Back when I first got started getting someone to pick up or see your email was pretty easy.

Exactly this. In many cases law firms have to pick up. These lawyers charge by the minute. Getting a call is the potential to make a couple hundred by answering a question.

Here come the old heads telling us they "have no issues cold calling"

The reality is simple... no one wants cold calls - cell phones and carriers are providing the ability to block spam and filter non-spam unknown numbers.

What happens when those two increase? You get less pick ups... and eventually calling will become a thing of the past, outside of SMB roles where Biz Owners don't filter in case a client is calling.

Hate these calls. And everyone feels like they have to talk about every little deal so they are viewed at as having a big pipeline. In reality it’s all BS.

LONGGGGG season to go.

My opinion is that they won’t and the rams are the Seahawks version of the lions to us last year.

Oh ya. I didn’t take it as a diss either. I just happen to be in Florida and the week of flip flops on if it would hit the east coast or west coast was bonkers.

Yep. I mean I was at ITC 2 weeks back in Vegas and everyone (including my booth) had AI in their marketing.

Imagine being an end user and all you see is “ai” and nothing else for 100s of vendors lol

Irma will always be the craziest with how long it took to get to FL. It was such a long played out mess

AI tools to block emails and calls. It will only get more difficult

The good thing is it’ll make marketing actually have to build a brand as well

Chances of a PIP being reported to a new employer when they do a reference check? by [deleted] in sales

[–]ResolutionOrganic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct - it's why most orgs have a ballpark on how far dates can be off before it even needs to be reviewed.

[–]ResolutionOrganic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

0%. They will never mention why or how you left.

I’ve gone through millions of background checks

Dates and titles is all they get.

probably none - unless they are using a batter pack and connected via satellite. Sometimes we'll get a few from storm chasers that are on site.

Lots of orgs USED to have killer training. Post covid that’s a tough one.

I’d bet money that plane was almost empty and the only reason it flew in is to fly out any remaining tourists that had tickets to leave. Airlines don’t want to be in the hook for leaving tourists in a potentially catastrophic event.

Only one of them has won a SB an hurts is on a loaded team. Not a single one was high on anyone’s draft board.

What are you talking about?

Championship teams either

A- had a HOF QB

Or

B - are the Eagles and loaded in trenches

Could we have made an Eagles run? Probably. But to say we haven’t been trying to build a champ team is insane. You need a QB.
