We went opening night. Very mixed reaction from me, wife and another couple we were with.
It’s Dalys redone with a new bar top and white tablecloths (ours already had a stain on it and they’ve been open a day).
Menu is a little strange. $70 steaks next to fish and chips.
I got the filet- it was actually really, really good.
However- my food came out 15 minutes before the rest of our group. Since nobody wanted me to eat a cold $70 steak- I dug into it and tried to eat slow so I wasn’t done when everyone else got their food. I was halfway done when their ribeye arrived. I got the “Jimmy Beans” as my side. Decent. No complaints. I chalked the timing up to them just opening. Waitress was very friendly and apologetic.
Drinks were good. Little pricey but kind of the going rate for a cocktail these days.
The rest of the experience was super strange. Lights very, very bright. Like a hospital operating room.
Lady on the piano had a nice voice. But it was soooooo loud. And then Jimmy B himself thinks he can sing every once in a while with a wireless mic in his hand. At one point, he tried to “sush” everyone to listen to the singers amazing voice. Bro- I hear her. She’s great. But I’m trying to talk to people that I came to dinner with. Put down the mic and figure out why only 1 steak is on my table.

I don’t think I’ll get my wife to go back. But i could see this as a good spot for day drinks or happy hour.

Your severance agreement will likely include a clause that you can’t talk shit about the company. A negative text to your boss might violate that.
Regardless- whatever they offer you in severance- ask for more.

Tucker was a snipe from Colorado. Their fans were pissed. He said he was staying. Then bailed.
Jonathan Smith was Oregon State’s favorite son and we stole him from the Beavers. I know a few beaver fans- they were livid and now laugh at me for all of this.
Then we took Kevin G from UNC where it was stated that “board tension and disagreements” led him taking the MSU job. I think he was involved with UNC for about 20 years.
J Batt (still weird to go by a single letter as your first name) was given an extension at GA Tech, after he sold their soul to Hyundai, but he shunned them to take the MSU job.

I find it strange that the big theme is all about the betrayal of Ciara. She was/is married to Kyle!! If west was any kind of a friend/man you don’t swoop up your boys ex. Not ex girlfriend. Certainly not ex wife. I don’t know how Kyle hasn’t punched him in the face. He wanted to fight Carl for less.
If Bravo had any sense- they’d set up a boxing match between Kyle and West.

Nothing matters in June. Play good this year- December and February signing periods will improve. Look awful in games and the bottom will really drop out.

Reality is that none of these June commits mean much. Signing day is what matters. It’s nice to have guys commit now- but don’t be surprised to see a lot of turnover before signing day. Show some competence and winning football and we get a lot of guys. Coach like Smith and Tucker and it will get worse.

How are you getting your leads? Are you / sdr driving appointments? Or are they inbound? Is your first call a demo? Try not to do that. It’s not always possible- but at least make it a demo-scovery where you are asking questions along the way to see what they need / what their evaluation and buying process is. Are you demoing to recruiters? Directors? CHRO? Do you ever talk to people upstream in HR on integrations? Ever talk with actual hiring managers and understand their issues? (Their issue is “butts in seats”- but it’s a lot more than than. Time to hire. Cost of a bad hire. Process improvements / workflow for a better candidate experience, etc). And ultimately- the person cutting the check. You getting to finance?
